I can understand why she might want to back Boyne after he tried being pro-trans, got harassed, peaked then apologised to the people he'd helped harass. It's good to welcome people who are willing to acknowledge they're wrong like that, and lets others know they can too.

But Boyne is kind of a mess - the boy in striped pyjamas was a mess, and in his sequel he included zelda ingredients in a dye recipe because he'd just googled it and copy pasted - I think he is much more of a clout chaser than JKR ever has been and publicly giving him her backing is something someone like him will take and run with. I get that she's just offering to fund this one legal challenge, but I don't think he'll just leave it at that, he'll try and milk the association and opportunity for all that it's worth. His original pro-trans kids story was an opportunity to grift too.

I'll note that Polari is the name of a certain cant or argot mainly used by English gay males in London and other urban environments back when just being gay was a crime. It was the G.

The rest of the alphabet people were invaders.

Yeah, it’s not like lesbians ever used this cant.

They need to stop it with the revisionist history.

Thread-relevant crossposts:

I think JKR picked Hugh Laurie deliberately and gave him a massive financial incentive, the timing is just too good. He acknowledged Stephen Fry as 'my colleague' which is devastatingly neutral and definitely makes me wonder about what the last straw was between them.
M'colleague was how fry and Laurie always referred to each other for decades. At least one of frys books is only dedicated 'to m' colleague'.
It's still a love-in.

For those who don't browse A&N the oh so feminine boxer has retired. Rowling might toss her hook into the water over this news so expect the orbiting lunatics to react accordingly.

A man going onto women-centric social media forum to count the number of public discussions about bras is exactly why women want (and need) women only spaces that men cannot access. Thank you for proving our point.

I’ve never understood why people say Aiden’s weird and creepy.

On Mumsnet, the social media forum where "gender critical" women discuss things, there are over 2500 threads of public discussions about bras.

Aidan Comerford has been having a weird moment about bras, and I'd like to remind him that Vexxed is where Gender Critical women discuss things. I'd bet dollars to Harry Potter donuts that most of the posts relating to bras on Mumsnet are about nursing bras or training bras for girls starting to develop. Since it's a forum for mothers. What's being posted on Twitter by crossdressing men, however, is a subject for the social media sideshow thread.

He's also whinging (archive) that JK Rowling is looking over her shoulder and calling out the misbehavior and rancid bullshit of her own side, rather than being a good ally and treating politics like a team sport. Please stop paying attention to our attempts at redefining a woman into a feeling that a man has, and yell at the people we're mad at! (Besides you)

He denies it but who knows? Perhaps he will now focus on his legal action against Rowling which I am reliably informed will end up with him stripping her of the Harry Potter IP as damage.

lmao
Do you think "gender doctors" have been handing out LSD instead of estradiol and that's why troons continue to look like men, and also have these wildly hilarious conspiracy theories like "JKR is far-right-alt-right-wing" and whatnot?

You're being disingenuous and you know it. Notice how the only people who are in agreement with her are (neo)conservatives and (neo)conservative politicians and she does nil toward denouncing them.

"Radfems" are not real, and if they are, they're right-wing—most feminists (and women in general) are supportive of troons. I know the (ostensibly) female users give a false perception by saying "Actually, most women only feign sympathy for troons while laughing at them behind their backs". Thing is, all of the female users on here are (probably autistic) fat, antisocial femcels who are rejected by the "popular girls" at work—these women do not give an accurate picture of female sentiment. Otherwise, they're 4chan-type incels LARPing as women.

You should try reading the things you type out loud before hitting send.

Hugbox application denied. You're a fag lol.
