I'm actually quite heartened by how little of the usual autistic screeching I'm seeing regarding J.K.'s 'hateful views' in light of the Krispy Kreme thing.

Like, it's definitely still happening, but it's nowhere near as omnipresent as the usual amount of hysterical wailing and gnashing of teeth that there would've been a couple of years ago. It's certainly very different to the Hogwarts Legacy fallout.
Elon buying Twitter took away most of their power to bully corps and they all retreated into their blue sky bubble.

Or, you could e-mail the Krispy Kreme customer service line and try to threaten and emotionally blackmail their business. Either/or.

You don't have to sell me on it any more.
Because it's a giant company that can't be bullied into submission unlike small companies.
Giant companies, if anything, are even more cowardly than some small ornery dude who doesn't give a fuck. The fact even the big companies aren't waving the troon flag any more says mountains.

Fuck-you money in action:

I remember when John Boyne was supportive of trannies, in a "live and let live" way, and even wrote a book about a boy whose brother comes out as a troon. Then he received backlash because the book didn't live up to the tranny standards of 2019 and he said he didn't want to call himself cis. Now he's receiving financial help from Rowling to sue retarded TRAs online.

How the tables have turned.

The “authors" who withdrew from the Polari Prize because of the evil transphobe John Boyne's nomination are all literally whos who are looking for their 0.15 seconds of fame.

Typical for troons, Boyne did not just receive blacklash, but trannies threatened and harassed him and his family.

I think one of the people who started the whole thing (on bluesky, of course) was Patrick Ness, a somewhat more well-known author who writes one-note gay YA. I can only assume there is some amount of professional jealousy going on here.
I also would not be surprised if some authors on this list are some flavor of current day "queer" (asexual or genderfluid but otherwise straight) while Boyne is at least actually gay.

Yup. One of them (not named in your comment) is a no-talent I know from university that literally none of you will have heard of if you're not part of the Dublin poetry scene. But the looking for fame thing cuts both ways. These tiny literary scenes centred on universities are where young writers make their first professional connections (much, much more important than the quality of their writing in terms of getting published). They're extremely cliquey and full of absolutely cynical self-promoters (think PhilosophyTube) who would denounce and shun people in a moment if they thought it would thin the field for them. I guarantee you these lesser-known writers are watching their backs as much as trying to get into the papers.

Odd how that always comes to a swift and sudden end once the death threats start... It's almost like there's a pattern there.
One good thing is the mental midgets who think HRT can grow you a female skeleton and give a 6ft4 bloke periods will keep missing it and keep thus funneling beloved authors to the welcoming arms and really fucking deep pockets of JKR (long may she reign).

For those that missed John Boyne's apology to Graham Linehan a few years ago:

And now for something completely different. Rowling's review of Nicola Sturgeon's memoirs has triggered Stuart Campbell of "Wings over Scotland" fame, the most famous and vitriolic pro-independance supporter turned gender critical campaigner. (The Malcolm mentioned is Malcolm Clarke, @TwisterFilm on Twitter, I'm not screenshotting the whole back and forth here but the original thread is here.)

It was always pretty surreal seeing Rowling and Campbell in the same camp a few years down the line as both pro-GC.

Rowling's hefty response:

(Scottish politics was always a snakepit as far as I remember. Before the SNP's rise, Labour was the only game in town and its heavyweights tended to take their personal grudges against each other with them to Westminster and have life-long vendettas.)

A troon called Jessie Gender and a chinky male "film critic" Walter Chaw claim they ate a 24-hour suspension on Blue Sky for "wishing ill" or "being mean" to Rowling. Other troons came out of the woodwork to show their "support".

I'll note that Polari is the name of a certain cant or argot mainly used by English gay males in London and other urban environments back when just being gay was a crime. It was the G.

The rest of the alphabet people were invaders.
