I will say that top 5% in Starcraft 2 is Diamond and not a rank anyone would consider good.

Exactly, he needs characters that don’t have to play neutral and ideally have at least one command grab.
 
BF is a game where anyone can wind up high on the final scoreboard if they play their class properly. Philicia has exactly zero understanding of teamwork. My best game ever was a loss in BF3. I don't care how much you statistically beat the #1 on the winning team you're still just the best loser. In the BF3 days playing canals TDM a Recon player getting a spawn beacon down in the highest container could take 1st place easily. He will never be anything other than an easy kill in any BF title.
 
honestly the blaming the game thing is DSPs most annoying character flaw. Its every fucking game, every single time

So he's like a Diamond to Crimson level player by percentile. It's pretty good. People who are obsessed with a game will think Diamond is shitty but it's a decent player.

He's middle aged now, and better at older titles. If you adjust for that it matches his performances in his prime where ye was capable of "annoying" top tier players, which is a good place to reach IMO.

It seems how bad he is gets exaggerated due to him being so hated and cringe, and being almost comically bad at other games including those made for 3 year old babies. If he was a super popular dude and not just constantly screaming he "can't do anything!!!" and "the game dropped my input!!!!" people would probably assess him as a sort of washed up player who used to be "decent" and is now just like an average guy in that ranking bracket he's in.

A lot of Redditors call it an "Adult Happy Meal". It's ultra cringe and insecure behavior. Just say "I'm gonna be getting a children's Happy Meal", that's what an alpha boss would say.

From the fact that it's determining it based on Twitter posts I'm just going to assume it's a basic algorithm based on vocabulary, grammar, and spelling. A really shitty way to determine IQ, but I guess it's about as good as a litmus test could get. It certainly seems to have an accurate number for Phil. It could be something more sophisticated like using AI to comb through their posts for opinons and judging them based on how stupid and illogical they are, but that would be a surprising level of sophistication for something like this.

For reference, Tyler1, who's never played a Street Fighter in his life, hit Master in around 100 hours playing modern Guile.

He then proceeded to get washed and went down to 12-1300 MR.

Phil had a similar experience with a lifetime of Street Fighter behind him.

He's below average at best.

Same. It was highly entertaining.

One of my highlights was when he complained about being shot in the back while in a building and how he couldn't possibly know that someone could be coming up the stairs.

He framed it as a fault with the game, that it was a failing of the gameplay that there's no clear and obvious warning where enemies are at all times.

He is mentally stunted.
 
Nice it's a someone shows up saying DSP isn't THAT bad at SF6 episode again.

Diamond ranking in Starcraft IS dogshit being compared to a few ranks ahead of people who don't know what a build order is, what hotkeys do or when to do an expansion. Playerbases aren't built equal and SF6 has one of the lowest skill ones that a fighting game has ever had. Even in fucking Starcraft you could hit plat/diamond with zero micro and just doing basic macro and moving your units in a group because the bottom 50-70% of players were legit seriously actually retarded.

SF6 ranking is total babymode up until actual Legend grinding and by far one of the easiest to get to "Master" anyone in this thread who can do a basic punish combo and inputs for moves willing to grind for a week or 2 can hit it hell DSP can't even consistently do the inputs for moves in any fighting game so you don't need to do that.

DSP having 20 years fighting game experience and being effectively hardstuck at the lowest possible level master means he is total fucking dogshit among players who know the game past the very basics.
