Much like the city itself, Dubai chocolate is a scam.

Even if I didn't know about this, the thing looks like shit and is probably made of shit. I think once the economy of the United Arab Emirates eventually collapses, their open secrets will be all over the news, including the literal slaves they "hire" from India. Just look at the Burj Khalifa: Even though Dubai and rich retard expats living there like to brag about how "sophisticated" it is, it's not connected to any sewage system, and there are lines of poop trucks who pull up to collect the excrement.

What do people expect from a city where they think building this is a good idea?

but what the hell is going on I JUST heard about these things how are they already this big of a cultural phenomena
I was wondering why they were being spun as a new hot thing and was thinking "were'n't these around already years ago?"
I was right, they've been a thing since 2015 or some shit like that as one of the many artist based figure things out there int he world. There's even like a full cast of characters for this one that only recently got overturned by the labubu guy because Scalpers ER I MEAN "VALUE SPECULATORS" noticed some korean celeb had one and artifically inflated prices globally on them. So it was something that was already mildly popular hit with the dosage of artificial "VALUE" popularity. Someone likely already brought this up likely somewhere at some point but I think it says something when talk about these things ISN'T about the fact they were already a thing for a fucking decade but rather ignoring that and treating it like it's the new funko pops that just artificially manifested overnight.

To make it a bit more personal to the site, eBay had some Chris-coin listings for like $500 but they aren't there anymore; nor do I see them in the "sold" listings, either. Far as I can tell, either eBay had the sellers take it down, or they weren't getting any buyers at the price they wanted so they removed the listing.
They will scalp fucking anything, and sometimes will steal stock to do so even on small production run shit like the chris chan coin or other weirdly personal in-joke project shit. Not gonna powerlevel but I've gotten fucked out of getting things friends of mine made by a scalper or three finding shit and just eradicating the stock in the blink of an eye. Very sick world we're in right now.

Much like with how things go in the art world i refuse to believe it's anything else besides money laundering/tax shenanigans. There's no way this shit will appreciate in value (no one will even remember Labubu by next year) and anyone who has $200.000 at hand to drop on a Funkopop will know that, too. It's all borderline, if not full-blown, white collar crime.
You’re being naive, people are legitimately taking out loans and dropping thousands on a whim because they’re addicts.

One theory I've seen is that the major push of Dubai Chocolate is from the Indians themselves to cover up the times when Instagram whores would be paid by wealthy Indian men to travel to Dubai with expensive shopping trips and the like so they could shit and piss on the women for sexual pleasure. Before the influx of this shit, searching up Dubai chocolate would apparently show stuff like that, but now it's being covered up.
If that's true... that's a stroke of truly maniacal genius, cause it worked... But that would leave me incredibly disappointed, because middle eastern sweets are delectable and I would like to find them in conventional stores more often, but now I cannot but associate dubai chocolate with pajeet shit now...

Ah... Now it makes more sense. In my case I lucked out in never seeing any influencer promoting it and the dubai chocolate I see in stores is reasonably priced (still more expensive than regular chocolate but not at crack pipe prices like 15 dollars).

Oh, anybody can tell me what the big deal about dubai chocolate is?
It's just chocolate filled with shredded toasted pastry (like the phyllo dough in baklava) and pistachio. You could actually do this yourself for substantially lower cost. It's actually pretty good, but not $20 a bar good.

Elementary-aged kid begged a relative to buy Dubai chocolate. None of the chocolate eaters liked it and it ended up being thrown out.

Indians are the slave caste in Dubai, it’s the Arabs with oil wealth that shit on whores.

India is just going through the same thing China is, where it used to be an expansive fascinating old culture and then threw it all away in favor of chasing appearances and validation from the modern world

I can't see how it could be bad if made with quality ingredients. However, the filling is so similar to pistachio baklava I'd say just buy a good chocolate bar and some pistachio baklava. You'll get a lot more bang for the buck.

When?

India was never good, nigger. Their culture is trash.

Some very few pajeets were good at mathematics, that's about it.
India has traditionally had this strict caste system. Even though it's not part of the law anymore, it is still enforced via social pressure. Women can marry up in the caste system, while women marrying down is frowned upon. If you're a half-attractive woman in a lower caste, you're going to try to marry up. If you're a bit of a loser born into a higher caste, you're going to scoop up an attractive woman from a lower caste so you can have a hot wife. If you're not that attractive of a woman from a lower caste who cannot marry up, you are going to have your pick of men in your caste because the really attractive women will marry up. So the most retarded, undesirable men in the lower castes have zero chance of marrying and starting a family. Those guys leave for the West and work for low wages because they think they have a chance to marry a woman here. This is why Indians all appear retarded. It'd be like if we shipped all our cheeto eating autists who never go outside to Asia.

So there are just giant septic tanks?
Yes. The entire city is a giant septic tank. Helps the indian 'workers' feel more at home, entire city is basically a cat litter tray so you just bury your street shits in the sand. But yea they have big septic tanks that they have to get big fluid trucks in to fill them up and take the shit to somewhere that has actually functional infrastructure (or just dump it just out of nose range)

I hate to say it but women are responsible for almost all of this shit. They are hyper consoomers and must be part of every trend and fag. Pretty much every time you see a man on this its being a grifting social media clout chasing faggot, not an actual end consoomer.

While men certainly piss away money on dumb shit, its usually limited to 1 or 2 hobbies 90% of the time. Its usually just cars, or guns, or shoes, or power tools one specific thing.
Indeed, men and women waste money differently. As you point out, women are more likely to hop on fads and trends while men are more prone to gravitate to cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, and their associated maintenance and customization.

We also get scammed differently. Women get targeted by MLMs while men get hit up with "Yo, dude, you gotta invest in my buddy's business!"

While very true, people today spend a lot of money on retarded shit people 20-30 years didnt. For example doggy fucking daycare. Asked a woman at work how much she spends a day to take her dog to doggy daycare. $20. Thats $100 a week, $400 a month.

I really think that all those new (and unnecessary) expenses are the culprit when people complain that "wages haven't kept up with inflation".
Just 30 years ago, people had a single computer in their home. Now everyone (including small children) carries one with them in their pocket everywhere they go -- and pays a monthly fee for data... and replaces it with a new $1,000 version every other year.
People used to listen to their music for free over radio waves. Now it is pretty much expected that everyone pays for a Spotify or similar music streaming service.
When I was a kid, I'd say only about half of families I knew had cable TV service (maybe I hung out with poor people, but I feel like it was a luxury back then), but now even someone just starting out feels the need to subscribe to a litany of streaming video services.
Just 30 years ago, the only food that you could get delivered to you was pizza or maybe Chinese food, delivered directly from the place for only a slight upcharge. But now UberEats or Doordash will deliver pretty much anything -- with fees that could double the price of the food itself. And people do it!

A lot of it is socially driven, and that's nothing new. The concept of "keeping up with the Joneses" has been around for as long as people have had neighbors. But it's now more important than ever to really be mindful of purchase decisions to ensure that it really delivers value and you're not just doing it because everyone else is.

this is true
while the cost of living has gone up, overconsumption has gone up exponentially too, and people will latch onto the former as a way of pretending the latter isn't the case
"not buying avocado toast and Starbucks every day won't save me enough to buy a house" not on its own, sure, but.. why do you feel the need to do it? it's still wasted money
they live thinking they DESERVE everything and thus can't be told they SHOULDN'T buy it
everything you want you deserve, if you ever can't get it or would benefit from not getting it, it means you don't deserve it, it makes you lesser, it makes you a victim, it means ya ain't living yo best life goooorl you go and spend that money you deseeeerve it
