Had a layover at the airport so I decided to reactive my membership for the first time in a good while and do some barrows runs.

Pulled a Karils top, 2 Dharoks tops, and Ahrim legs in just a couple hours of runs. Was a decent way to pass the time.

the Whisperer fight in DT2 is the most giga-autist shit ever jesus fucking christ

it even comes with a fun little gauge that measures your irl sanity

I remember losing my irl sanity doing the part of the quest with no guide at release. Cursing whoever added the motherfucking sanity mechanic to it.
Finally it was over. I thought to myself then, how funny would it be if the boss itself had a sanity bar mechanic as well.
I started the boss and the sanity bar appeared :(

I never get why people say Whisperer is hard, yeah it’s the longest of the dt2 fights but all you do is L movement and when it’s enrage phase you just circle around the boss if you can’t keep up with the L movements

Another thing I can think of being a problem is not using in game sounds to be able to hear the bosses attacks, that or you aren’t counting the bosses attacks during enrage (she uses 2 range at the start then 2 mage then 2 range repeating)

Edit: you’re also staying in the shadow realm for way too long, you need to memorize which pillars are 1/2/3 health when you enter and then exit immediately, same with the green orb patterns, however id give more leeway for staying in the shadow realm there when you’re first attempting this boss, and then ghosts just kill the 2 ghosts saying Vita and exit, unless you need sanity then kill the 3 saying Sanitas and exit

No problems with the special attack parts, it's keeping the prayer flick rhythm on the final stretch while also trying to L maneuver around tentacle attacks where it all falls apart for me

So did I and I found an old account, currently training and doing easy clues to rack up some money too for gear and an extra bond to start a new character.

Love the old account but it's kinda ruined and HCIM mode sounds enticing to me, at least.

I haven't seen Varlamore and I can't be bothered with Aztec shit in games but I do have to admit it is pretty. Of all the times I've seen that aesthetic done in games, it is definitively the most interesting one, probably because whenever it's brought up in other games it's almost always "ancient civilization ruins".

I find just running circles around the boss is easier (I am a mobile player though) and it’s a lot easier with sound on and counting the attacks as they connect during enrage to know when to swap as you only need to swap prays after saying “2”, that’s pretty much all I can think of that helps with Whisp

Varlamore to me is fine because it is on an entirely distinct continent, so it doesn't really clash with the general fantasy vibe the rest of mainland Gielenor has, and it also sort of aligns with the somewhat 1-1 geography that Gielinor has with IRL.
Kandarin, Asgarnia and Mistahlin are your typical Western European Kingdoms, Karamja/Ape Atoll are Sub Saharan Africa and Madagascar and Al Kharid is the Middle East/Northern Africa, Morytania is Eastern Europe, the Easten Lands are the unseen Chinese/Japanese stand-in. Then the Fremmeniks are clearly the Scandinavians.
Then for the ancient kingdoms, the elves are the celts, and the Zarosian empire was clearly meant to be the Romans.

So in my head, it makes sense for Varlamore to be South America inspired.
Hell, even Great Kourend is something akin to a fantasy united United States, given that it is 5 nations unified under a single kingdom, ruled by a council of officials from each nation.

Honestly glad they dropped the original idea of Zeah being Asia.

You can't. Thankfully, OSRS has significantly less pride shit than RS3 and it's even regressed a bit with the most recent pride month event being shitcanned altogether. You can always surround yourself with players that also hate obnoxious, glamourized faggotry.
It's a shame nobody has thought to make a plugin that automatically hides all gay gear, maybe even highlight players who were wearing it with an arrow that says "fag"
Also, replace that faggot gnome stinking up outside varrock with his axe wound with a gallows.

How can I get rid of the pride shit on the game?
Plugins have to be approved, so there's no way a plugin like that would ever make it.

You can however, hide the NPC with "Better NPC Highlight", and decorate over the spot with a gallows or whatever else you'd like with "Creator's Kit".
There's no way to remove/swap gear on others, but you could just use "Entity Hider" to hide ignored players and add players with Weimar uniforms to your ignore list, though since it's cosmetic you'll almost never see anyone with it other than bankstanding or at Wintertodt.

There used to be a fag in trans gear who would spam the pest control gates, pretty sure the outfit was deliberate because it'd get more reactions. People get so fucking mad at PC it's unreal, even without make believe creatures trolling them. Think that guy got banned though

Caught him again on mobile. I remember him having a different name when I first saw him, but it's FullSigmund now, changed from HCIM Venez.

Pardon the scribble, I'll get bullied for having ratchet gear

I've been thinking more and more lately that the game is better without the Grand Exchange. I think the GE might be necessary for the game not to die, but I really miss the old days. Playing pre-GE was basically the perfect form of ironman to me. I liked having the door open for player interaction and buying stuff if I really had to, but don't want that full convenience of the GE y'know.
