No fucking shit all those photos are taken in some relaxed situations. Cameras at that time probably cost a fortune, and getting the photos made was a whole another ordeal. We don't even see that much combat footage from WW2 either, and imagine how much better the cameras were 80 years later.

That's one way to admit you've never been around anyone who served.
>mfw you piqued my curiosity enough that I have have to "show me anyways" one of stud's posts

Really the more laughable thing is this
joke like that maybe but just display so many overtly gay mannerisms?
Yeah, you've DEFFINETLY never been around veterans holy shit.

The whole point of having a low IQ is your not smart enough to do things like remind yourself not to do dumb things, if it was as easy as you say no one would be retarded, retard.

That’s one of the smartest things you’ve even written here and it’s hilarious that it’s been written in a profoundly retarded way.

Ive never seen battler hardned soldiers relax like that, joke like that maybe but just display so many overtly gay mannerisms? IDK.
Seems like a you problem and I'm sorry you've never experienced camaraderie I guess. It isn't gay to have friends you are comfortable around.

The lying on the ground would be iffy now I guess but I have little doubt any of the guys striking that pose in your pics could and probably would knock my head off if I implied they were a faggot because of that. I doubt I'd even imply it because it probably wasn't viewed as a gay pose to strike at the time. Actually maybe it was but in the original "happy" sense of the term not a homosexual way.

Studs I know you're a retard so I'll help you out by posting a photo of the Battle of Sedan during the Franco-Prussian War in 1870. Battles at the time were incredibly kinetic and the cameras weren't advanced at all as others pointed out. This particular photo is the first captured in history of a battle as it occurred (to my knowledge). Edit: Sorry for the poor formating.

Do you see how many fuck off people the paintings depict, why dont we just see pictures of these guys forming up, not one squad or company but a huge field of them like they did so often, that would be such a compelling picture but all we get are handfuls of troops POSING

The fuck I miss?
Stud is claiming civil war photos must be fake because some of them have soldiers being brotherly and looking gay which is beyond hilarious because in terms of behavior US warfighters are probably the most gay hetorsexual's on the face of the earth.

It's mostly just homophobic jokes to ease the tension, but part of it comes from the fact that when deployed they inevitably have to sleep together, be crunched up in humvees, shower together, etc. so the "you gunna buy me dinner bro?" moments just happen organically.

55:55 is probably the best example of this. This was made by and for veterans,

You do realize that these depictions were made for mass consumption (engravings and the like for newspapers) and in no way depict how a battle went down, right?

https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/us-born-job-gains-outpace-losses-among-immigrant-workers.amp US workers gain, but migrants lose. That jobs report earlier is lying by data betting. The WSJ says the same thing just paywalled.
That report is looking over a 12 month period, while the BLS data was looking at just the month of July, and for non-farm jobs. I’d assume that we would see a large job growth for July if we factored in farm labor, but I believe the July report was for permanent jobs.

Again, you're ignoring exposure time. In those days the camera lens had to be open for up to a few minutes to record the image. Troops forming up implies MOTION, which results in a badly blurred photograph. Photos back then weren't cheap (or easy) to take; obviously photographers wouldn't waste time or money taking shots they knew wouldn't/couldn't come out. And that's also why everything was posed - the sitters could be kept motionless and, most importantly, there was somebody on hand to pay for everything.
If you want to sperg out about old photos, check out Victorian post-mortem photography. Very, very macabre, very, very fucked up.

you are getting there...

Very interesting. I know the city and history of Charleston rather well. Charleston was burned to the ground by Uncle Billy and his boys as the city was seen as a symbolic home of the Confederacy and where it started...you know..Fort Sumter? The Union troops had a hard on for Chucktown. So they took the torch to it. This wasn't so much the work of cannon fire as much as it was burning wooden buildings to the ground. Thats why all that was left were mostly buildings of stone.

We can always count on @StudMccool to keep the thread moving on slow news days.
it takes alot of effort to be this retarded I promise

But WHY are the civil war soldiers so gay, and please for the love of dignity will you guys stop acting like you know somthing by saying the US military likes to act gay as their humar that isent "insider intel" we all have youtube shorts or reels, you arent extra special forces bucko. there is a difference between super gay jokes for fun and this shit
