If you payed attention to Josh when he was speaking about his dead friend, you'd put 2 and 2 together and realize Josh paid the actor for the cameo for his friend while he was still alive.

Mike and Jay have been terrified of saying the wrong thing for years; and it has led to such humiliating moments as "Daisy Ridley is charismatic as HELL", the "starving kids in Africa" Star Wars cope, and their weird refusal to "review" certain capeshit slop they know their audience will turn on them for criticizing - but they do it in this cringe way where they pretend it's done out of somehow being above it all, when anyone not using them for a friend simulator can plainly see that they live in fear of a nickel rolling out the door.

Good Josh went on to show us all that he can hang with the RLM that made people like him fans in the first place, SIXTEEN YEARS AGO.

The starving kids in Africa rant is probably the most disingenuous, smug, obnoxious shit they've ever done

The irony is that just weeks later they were bitching that star trek was rotting the same way star wars was. Star Trek is more important than starving kids in Africa, I guess.

I think it’s also why they do that obnoxious review hunting thing too.
It free space low hanging fruit dunks, and they’re so much better than that.

I’ll give Jay credit that he brought up reviews here, but for such an obscure movie, it made sense to. But that only makes the disingenuous way they do it on HITB stand out that much more.

The fact that they've known for years beardfat is a negative to their channel but still include him means they're genuine friends which is baffling.
There's literally BotW episodes where they cut his audio out mid-sentence....
