In case anyone's wondered why Reddit has gone to complete & utter sh!t since the end of 2023. TLDR mods ignoring Qatari AI bots. Sadly this Reddit expose' never went anywhere - I guess since Reddit doesn't want to admit it's become a victim of the "dead internet" theory.

It goes back further than that. Reddit has effectively been the chew-toy in a rabid tug-o-war between an entire colliding mess of political and geopolitical interests since roughly 2014, with 2016 and 2020 serving as major escalations. It makes for a splendid microcosm of dead internet theory, but I do think that the problem is far worse on Reddit than it is elsewhere, at least for the time being. This is due to Reddit's considerable value as a propaganda organ, meaning that it is - at any given time - subject to massive electronic warfare from a variety of outside actors.. and, of course, the ongoing propaganda efforts of the Burgers themselves.

Everybody wants to shift the narrative, and this is a self-selecting mechanism, because only people who are happy to consoom slop and accept the official narrative are content to remain on a platform that's so blatantly trying to brainwash its userbase; nobody who can critically think uses 2025 Reddit for anything more than info gathering and discussion of niche hobbies.

Ironically, this lays the groundwork for the trap that Ian and Anus have fallen into several times now. They lent far too much weight to one side of a culture war that was always completely inorganic, and in doing so, Ian sabotaged everything he'd built up til that point, and he never recovered. His attempt to jump into Breadtube was the result of a similarly poor reading of current events. (I say 'his,' but really I mean Anus, because she is certainly the one directing his career moves.)

It's really kinda sad and I was never a fan of Idubbzz. I don't know if Anisa gaslit him, he caught a bad case of troll's remorse, or something else but he's definitely on meds he shouldn't be. And I'm not someone who thinks all psych meds are bad but he's a SSRI zombie now like you said. I checked out his older videos after the Froggy Fresh drama and it's like night and day. He lost any sort of passion, I really don't know what he even he LIKES anymore. He hates boxing. The H3 videos were uninspired as fuck compared to his older ones. He just kinda rambles on Anisa's podcast. Other lolcows, like Bossmanjack, he LOVES gamba and crack. What does Anisa's husband love now?

Didn't Anus outright admit on SRMC that she doctor-shopped to get Ian on SSRIs and ADHD meds? Whatever he's on, it speaks VOLUMES that BossmanJack looks substantially healthier - physically and mentally - than Ian does. :lossmanjack:

Yeah Anisa told Ian to get adderall prescribed because he was always low energy and not doing any work. He went to the first doc who told him he won't prescribe him that because he doesn't have ADHD. Anus was furious so they went to another doc and she sat in and answered all the questions for him with the correct answers to get an ADHD diagnosis. Lo and behold Ian is now prescribed adderall and is still not making content and is low energy all the time, but now has less dopamine and a chemical dependence on top.
