Criticising his code is trendy right now, and the main message of these videos is that development is slow because he created an unmaintainable mess. Maldy is responding to this by saying that the code is not the reason, coding is actually the easy part. The real reason is writing, since it's so hard to authentically write maldy's characters. To me it seems like Mald is asking for a review of his writing. It's definitely not what he wants, but it's what he's asking for.

I find it so weird. Normally when you create such a story driven game, you should write the whole story first and plan everything.
Atleast I think that is the way. Movies do that too or am I wrong?

There's a clip somewhere in this thread where he talks about having something like 1500 lines of dialogue ready to go and that implementation is going to be easy. I don't think all the recent updates combined does it come anywhere close to that many lines added. Maldy always ready with the excuses.

I mean, not always; look at the Disney Star Wars movies where they started a whole trilogy without any plan whatsoever, or how tentpole movies (especially capeshit) keep going back for reshoots over and over in recent years. But ideally, yes, you should have a general idea of where you're going with the story before you start the actual work of bringing it to life.

It seems to me like he's aping Toby Fox again. Consider how Deltarune has been releasing in parts over the past few years as he finishes them, and then look at Mald's game. He probably assumes that if he keeps dragging his feet on getting anything done, people will think that it will be just as huge and magnificent, and then he'll get all the praise that he feels entitled to for working so hard. Thing is, I'm pretty sure Toby's got things worked out already with regards to his story, and most of it is just development work now. Meanwhile, Mald is too lazy and stupid to finish a simple RPG, both writing and dev.

It's why he fears government being involved in video games so much. He wants to run a studio this way and be able to get away with treating his own devs like shit and doesn't want to be told no. At all costs, especially to the consumer. If his SL shop shenanigans were anything to go by, one can easily imagine how miserable an entire studio run by this butthole would be.

I haven't seen a single instance where he referred to Shaye by he/him, or even touched on the subject.
He keeps the degeneracy just a little bit below the surface, never admitting any homosexuality or furryness.
