I've only ever seen that used when the tall poppy is sufficiently tall from takes or opinions that come from a place of good intention, but just sperg'd out in public. For example, a new team member who knows their shit but won't shut the fuck up and draws more attention from management.

This is not just me snarking- but I genuinely don't get how his discord has 200 000 members. I guess his target audience are furries and teens who think being a hacker and gamedev is cool, even though nobody discusses Heartbound and it doesn't have a fandom.
