"A bit of Fry and Laurie" was funny - he co-wrote that, but it was ages ago.
"Jeeves & Wooster" was fine. Same with QI.

Now, he sort of pops up, from time to time, and lends his "national treasure" character to things that are currently popular, or fashionable.

He needs to play the tranny game, if he wants to keep getting those gigs. Definitely spineless, and desperate to be liked - as you said.

They can't accuse Rowling of actually having raped someone so they say that she has committed verbal rape. Though to be fair, maybe troons actually think that the feeling of dread and humiliation they get after being insulted by Rowling on Twitter feels just as bad as actually being raped by Neil Gayman. After all, misgendering can be violence but actual violence that trannies commit against women is just fine.

He was good in the various Blackadder series too.

He wrote a couple of books as well, most recently retellings of Greek myths or something (didn't read them) and he narrates audiobooks.
But oh well, he does suffer from an actual mental illness (bipolar disorder), which I do think is true and not a modern day "I need to be special" diagnosis. And I just recalled how he flounced from Twitter at least two times because he could not deal with being criticized for some minor lukewarm take he had. So he doesn't have the mental strength to cope with any sort of controversy.

It's just, I do think he would still be able to get work without having to suck up to trannies and whine about Rowling. He probably does not want to get cancelled, but who knows if that would even happen. Either way, he at least should be smart enough to not give retarded statements like "she was radicalized by TERFs".

Its pretty sad, because he read the audiobooks, he and JKR actually had a working relationship, and given the way he is and she is, probably had some good rapport. No doubt he is still cashing those audiobook royalty cheques. I enjoy him too much for anything to really dampen my consumption of his work, but its a pity because there are a lot of roles in the show he could fit well, though in my mind he is forever 40, so he has probably aged out of most of the best roles for him (Cornelius Fudge, Nearly Headless Nick, perhaps dumbledores brother is an option?). In the coming 7 years much could change in the cultural landscape and he could still be one of the later characters in the series.

From memory, he does legitimately like PG Wodehouse's work, and Harry Potter falls into that same style of timeless british whimsey. I just hope he is content with his decisions, I dont have the heart to moralise at him. Also, if you read about his early life, before university his brushups with the law, I definitely believe the bipolar diagnosis.
 
Of course, you're all skipping over what an obvious pederast he is and how he's outed himself many times through his plays, books and tv appearances. Can't stand the pompous twat. He is truly the meme of the "what an idiot thinks a smart person is" I wonder if there will be a Savile style reveal when he finally croaks or if it'll get swept under the rug due to him being a gay jew and his victims being all boys.

Can you give examples of when he has outed himself as you say? It wouldn’t surprise me either, especially as it seems every week another person working at the BBC is guilty of something, but without proof it comes across as gay bashing. I’ve seen GCs point to his husband being 28 as evidence, like what?? If he is hiding something and it’s ever revealed, people would be angry about it - look at Hugh Edwards.

Don't be silly, in these farms we believe that women can say pretty much whatever the fuck they want. And national treasure sir Fry finds that to be deeply problematic. I dare say, the ladies here have been radicalized and are a lost cause to us.

Stephen is a deeply insecure man, and he's always had extremely questionable and old fashioned views on women. Yes, I love his acting in old comedies, but he's just what people think a smart man is.

Rowling on the other hand, doesn't pretend to be smart and she stands for what she believes. And she's a woman. That last part is unforgivable, of course.

Believe it or not I didn't know about any of that. I didn't know a lot of things about him, actually. Including his work, his much younger partner, his words about women, his political views and other things. I fell for that image of "national treasure", his excellent voice acting (imo) and that gentleman British thing I guess. Ugh. Not much of a fan anymore, let's say.
