I will admit I had no idea how they'd actually get at this game since it's so incredibly fine for anybody but 'the bat is racist' shouldn't have surprised me

They fucked themselves over with removing Jontron so close to the game release. Disgruntled fans of his will find more game flaws to bitch about/will make it a bigger deal than they would have had he stayed in, and the people who would have complained about Jontron's inclusion are going to find some fault with the game and label it problematic anyway.
Sterling's already labeled Laylee as a racist character, I wouldn't be surprised if the SJW crowd started picking the entire game apart for other -isms they can find.

And that is why you should never try to appease the SJWs. Even if you do something "right", in this case removing JonTron, they'll turn on your ass as soon as they find something "problematic." You'll end up fucking yourself over both ways, since your original audience will feel alienated and more prone to nitpick your product, and the perpetually outraged will find something to be outraged about.

On the subject of Sterling's score, I think he's stirring the pot a little bit to get clicks since he's an attention whore.

We're looking at what seems to be a metabombing campaign. Many sites seem to be intentionally rating it lower than Andromeda.

Gee, that sounds an awful lot like the metabombing a certain autist we cover bitched about earlier, too.

Take a look through'em, and see if you can spot some outliers:

Fuck me, Let's Play Videogames is on metacritic now?

For those of you who are unaware, that's Dale, Sterling's pet tranny's site. So combined they've now achieved the rare and illusive DOUBLE METABOMB.

I really hope Dale fucks up and writes a review for Jimquisition and his own site somehow.

Seriously? Why do people take Metacritic seriously when chucklefucks like them have an influence on the score?

It's so strange to me how the pendulum has swung from conservative family groups and evangelicals to the supposed liberal youth as the people trying to police morality and such. Think about it; 20 years ago it was the family groups protesting the likes of South Park and Family Guy but if those shows were started today I guarantee you it would be these so-called liberals (Hell, most of them are already hating South Park for basically holding up a mirror to them).

Remember in the mid 00s when Bush was losing popularity as president and the tv was full of vampire shows and shit like Dexter? People in their 20s now grew up during this time. Their cultural indoctrination is full of stories like that, where people are guilty because of who they are in an existential way (vampire/killer) but they were better than the other vampires/killers, because of their choices. The idea is that, you are guilty by design, but you could still be one of the good ones. You are despicable because you are born into the class of exploiters but you can be partially redeemed through liberalism. It is very important to be one of the good ones. If you aren't then you are just a monster.

You also realize just how insulated from the Great Recession these kids were, since they grew up completely divorced from the issues of the "average" working guy. They never learned, and still have yet to learn, that people worried about their next paycheck are not fertile ground to try and test market new pronouns to. And this is a generation young enough to have no recollection of the pre-globalization world. To them, the old boarded up mill in the redneck town down the highway has ALWAYS been boarded up, and that town has ALWAYS had unemployment and related issues out the wazoo... they didn't see the fall of this country's industrial sector, so they assume that being poor and driving a 15 year old truck is just the way "those people" in red states are. Rural poverty and the middle class crunch eating away at opportunity aren't things happening out of a blue-collar worker's control, it's a lifestyle choice they apparently made because they "refused to join the 21st Century" and "clung to racist ways" or, at it's most charitable "Won't just move to a city".

It's amazing how fast they hit the wall with that rhetoric, in the span of only 8 years, even less when you consider the animus that sunk Hillary was growing the whole time.

Ironic, those who claim to be champions of the oppressed can't see a peasant revolt for what it is, even when it happens right in front of them... The poor aren't revolting because there's no bread, but the idea is the same, large masses of people are suffering economic instability meaning they can't meet basic needs, and the 21st Century equivalent of the French Court is looking out their windows and saying "These hicks have lost their sense of proper place..." as they wonder about whether the latest Hollywood movie has enough transsexual eskimos in it..... Trump winning was as bad to them as King Louis being fed to the guillotine, the RABBLE are KILLING their moral superiors! All hope for society is lost!

I love when they practically say this outright, when they tell you to 'stay in your lane' without even a hint of irony.

Jontron has become sympathetic to the plight of ethnic Kekistanis:

:offtopic:from JonTron; I haven't gotten around to playing the game yet, but Yooka-Laylee already feels like much less of a colossal fuckup than MN9- simply due to the fact that they actually sent me a Steam code for the game, despite me forgetting (and possibly not even thinking) I payed enough into the Kickstarter to get the game. MN9, however, did not send me a code, despite me contacting Comcept about it once or twice and paying probbaly more than necessary for the game during the Kickstarter.

Just thought I'd point that out.

Well folks, the scene featuring Jon's vocal work in Yooka-Laylee has been found.

I bet Playtonic and Team 17 felt removing Jon from this huge scene was worth the shitstorm and damaged reputation.

All of this shit over that. Goddamn. I guarantee you no one would have given a shit if the publisher didn't feel the need to virtue signal and then sick Jonno the Blue-Haired Wonder on anyone who questioned it. What a joke.

I'm surprised they didn't leave it in given how unflattering it is at face value.
