As many people here I first knew about Mald from his curated shorts where he blows hot air about op-sec and "hacking", which I don't know much about. But the second he gave his "expert" opinion on anime, and gave the most generic list of great anime, I knew he was full of shit.
I think it was FMA:B, NGE and maybe death note. Those are good, but if you are an "expert" you will have some preference here or there that is kind of obscure, or some weird/old anime that holds a special place. And if you're giving any recommendations and you can't be more specific based on genre or time period then you're full of shit. There was no "if you like mecha maybe start with patlabor, or tggl. If you like shonenshit, DBZ is a must. Betting stuff: kaiji. Good movies: anything satoshi kon, and sword of the stranger is action kino." Absolutely nothing like that. Saying FMA:B is your favorite, is the kind of recomendations I gave to my dad when he was asking about it. And the rest are just the animes that have reached the mainstream of larger "nerd culture".

This was also about the time the onlyfangs thing happened, so at least I'll be forever thankful to Maldavious for leading me here in his lolcow way.

Yeah, I read through all the mushroom autism, and all the gamedev autism, the coding autism, animal welfare autism and tax autism. Basically anytime this fagtree gives his expert opinion, he his horribly wrong and anyone who has dipped their toes in the subject matter can school him for 100+ pages.

Unrelated personal tangent but I first heard about this site during the keffals gofundme fraud drama stuff a few years back, checked it out, but didn't bother making an account until Mald, purely because after the onlyfangs stuff there was SO much drama to track on Mald, and the fact that he reads this site.

Mald is.....not as bad as keffals imo or alot of other lolcows on this site, but he has way more "negative character traits"(AI slop content incoming)

If you look at the google AI list of negative traits, you can kind of see every single one of them apply to Mald besides pessimism, cynicism(which I would sort of group with pessimism) and antisocial. I think there's quite alot of other lolcows on here that I would only put a few of these traits on, even if the things they have done, from what the public knows, is worse than Mald. Mald on the other hand is a very comprehensive lolcow. I think another comprehensive lolcow would be boogie, who probably also hits most of these traits, but I'd say Mald is far more manipulative than boogie, or atleast, more successful at it.

And, just imo, I think the only reason pessimism doesn't apply to Mald is because of how successful he has been, from being born wealthy to failing upwards. Maybe if he hits more bumps in the row, that trait will appear too.

For someone like Keffals, I can only have faith that the authorities will eventually investigate them and they'll either be exonerated or face the consequences for their actions, like Destiny's current legal battles over revenge porn etc.

With Mald, the consequences are relatively minor outside of kickstarter refunds/hiring a new dev for heartbound, because the only thing he needs to do is work on these "negative character traits" in therapy or something. But he and his team are doubling down on everything that he refuses to consider it, and will just keep being milked from now on.

It was the same for me, I discovered him from the Youtube Shorts talking about game industry, I didn't pay too much attention because the shorts I watched were basic stuff or information I couldn't 100% verify (The Starcraft 2 sales for example) so I didn't care that much.

Then I watched the Mr Robot short (Him explaining why he hates the TV Show), and my spider-senses started tingling. I was a huge fan of Mr Robot (today I just say it's a good show, but back when it was airing, it was probably my top 3 show of all time), and him saying the showrunners stole his Devcon puzzle made no sense because if that were true I would have known, I was heavily invested on the show. But I didn't care that much so I just ignored it (it's obviously fake).

A few days past by and... Mr President, a second Youtube Shorts has hit the timeline: "It made it [Heartbound] unpirateable", that's when I said out loud "Holy shit, this nigga is full of shit", I don't know everything about what happens in X company (in this case Blizzard) and maybe I missed the devcon controversy with Mr Robot... but Piracy? Brotherman, I've been sailing the seas since I touched a computer, I even had a modded OG Xbox with SNES emulator.

Your retarded and gay undertale clone isn't "unpirateable" you fucking LARPer. I was so delighted when the Mana gem incident happened, it was awesome even if it was only about WoW, it made a lot of people realize how much of a faggot he is.

Jason's also the first cow that made me want to jump in a thread. He's done nowhere near the amount of horrific things as most cows on this site, but the way he does it makes him so fun to hate. The way he spouts confidently wrong information about nearly every subject and must respond to criticism in a way that's somehow both condescending and self-victimizing really brings the world together to kick this retard when he falls down after tripping on his own ego. It's like the man was built from the ground up to be hated.

I joined KF to add my 2 cents worth on his bullshit but I stayed for frens I made along the way.

The trade-off was attaining cursed furry knowledge so I don't know how to feel.
