I’m considering moving to an apartment complex, and the number of 5-star reviews that amount to “they were very nice on the phone when I called about a tour” is staggering. Apparently, some staff beg for positive reviews that early into the apartment hunting process to dilute the 1-star reviews from actual residents.

I want to know whether I’ll regret signing a lease with this place, not how nice they were on the phone when they’re trying to get my money. It’s so much harder to compare places when the 4.8 star place might just beg harder than the 4 star place while actually being worse to live in.
 
Motorcyclists that seem to just assume the laws of the road don't apply to them. Though I did see some lovely karma of that yesterday. Was stuck in traffic and some asshole motorcyclist just passed between everyone on the lane dividers. A cop on a motorcycle saw him and immediately pulled him over.

It's always Germans or Dutch who do this shit. Just tell me what country it is without doing the secretive bullshit and getting mad.
 
When people say "I know" so dismissively. Like they start knowing after a result of something that they should've known before hand, but they fucked around, found out and got caught up in the shit of that result. Only for them to say that response after the fact. Beforehand they were just completely fucking stupid and bonus points too if they knew beforehand and did it anyways, whatever it is. Like do you live your life like you're your own science experiment?

And I hate it too when they say "I know" as an admittance of guilt, like we're supposed to feel sorry for them. No, I don't feel sorry for you if you knew and got fucked up over whatever it is that you knew about would happen. If you knew at all, you wouldn't have done that, you wouldn't have said that, you wouldn't have caused that fuckup .etc

It is one of those things that truly determines how stupid or sometimes depending on the matter, how smart someone really is or maybe how fucking gullible they really are. It's like science.
 
People anthropomorphizing their pets grinds my gears. I hate how popular it's become to argue that pets are like children, or that losing a pet is just as bad as losing a person. Pets are not people. When you get a pet, you know it's going to die before you. You can have infinite pets in a lifetime, but people are not replaceable. If you replace human relationships with pets, you are mentally ill and should be treated as such. Pets do not belong in restaurants or on planes, and people do not have to be fine with allowing them wherever children are allowed. Children are human, they are the future, and they take precedence over your "fur babies." Get over yourself and stop demanding that normal people treat pet ownership as equivalent to their relationship with their family. Your misanthropy and inability to form normal human connections is no one's problem but your own.

Humans don't suck. You suck at being one.

Only part-relevant, but just today, I was grabbing crap from our Amazon analogue, and two diffirent packages had "Packed by [name], plz do not leave negrates or they get sad"-type stickers.
Which infuriated me greatly and, to boot, while one thing was ok, the other had a burned-through hole on its cover.

People say Endgame was when the MCU started falling apart, but I’m starting to think the Snap was the death of western media as a concept. Every franchise since then has felt like necromancy.

And the worst part is watching these actors standing on a green treadmill trying to deliver this garbage like it’s Richard III. It's straight up Bollywood for moonshiners except it costs a billion dollars.

Just regular Cope Pouches. It's always a crapshoot when I get them from somewhere other than my usual stops because they have a shorter shelf life compared to other smokeless products and aren't a huge seller. Not a good combination.
 
Some mental patient, living in some foundation's assisted living flat in neighboring building, set fire this morning. Just torched baby trolley in building's bike storage I think.
Now would not give a fuck, but as they cut ventilation in case of fire, it cuts in 3 buildings not just one. Now they forgot to put it back on.

Damn this air feels thick to breath. Going to wake up with headache.

I don't get the massive hate against lane splitting a lot of people have. If the traffic is stopped and the bike isn't going fast, all it does it remove another vehicle from the traffic cue.

Tax: The loss of meaning for so many word. I keep seeing words get thrown around where they don't apply at all, and people just ignore the actual meaning of said words and go by the feel of it. For example: TERF being used to describe anyone against trannies, regadless if theyre feninist or not. Incel as well gets routine used for married men with children, which completely goes against the definition of the word. I have even recently seen someone refer to confidence as being "male insecurity" which is the exact opposite of what confidence is.

A surprising number of people get unreasonably ragey when driving. I think it's because if you're a retard, you feel like your car is part of your home. So, if someone does something annoying while you're driving, they're basically harassing you in your own house. It's the same reason some people spazz the fuck out when waiting to pass a cyclist. It's a failure to grasp that when you're driving, you are in public and you need to act like it. Back in Driver's Ed, the first thing the instructor told us was that driving is a social activity in which you are cooperating with a bunch of random strangers, even if it feels solitary most of the time. It doesn't help that a lot of motorcyclists ride like absolute niggers, so a lot of the time people will just assume that a biker is doing something wrong, especially if they're on a sportbike or something.

My own little traffic pet peeve is bumper stickers with foul language on them. Not that it offends me personally, it's just one of those little things that's prejudicial to a society in which people respect and trust one another. It's trashy as hell to make some dad driving behind you field questions from his kids about what it means to "eat ass." I'm a big fan of the Bill of Rights and so I don't think it should be illegal to do shit like that, but if you do, you are a living argument against the same freedom of speech that you enjoy.

Piggybacking off that,: we need to stop talking about politics until we figure out what the Hell is going on. My "aha" moment was realizing that 99.9% of people I know in real life don’t talk about any of the stuff that consumes people online.

"Therapy culture"? Surrogacy discourse? Rhodesia nostalgia?? Nobody is losing sleep over these issues, unless they're using those as an excuse to avoid going on dates.

Zoomers using acronyms wrong. "Ong" is supposed to mean "on god," but that isn't how you abbreviate words! "Asl" means American Sign Language to normal people, but apparently to zoomers it means "as hell." Don't ask me why, because I don't get it either. Damn kids. Get offml (off my lawn).

Oh how I hate that. I'm no prude, but I don't curse in public. Because, you know my parents actually taught me manners and that you are expected to behave in a certain manner around other people. It's horrifying how often I hear people cursing in casual conversation, in front of children even. Dude, really? You're going to say "I'm gonna fuck you so hard when I get home" in front of a 5 year old?

In my case at least, it was moving decently fast. With barely any room to move, it could easily result in an accident or at the very least vehicle damage.

Lmao gross. I switched to Zyn and I'm sure I'll get cancer/aids from doing it at some point but it's marginally better than real tabac.

Thread tax: It's like $1200 USD to fly back to my hometown where my parents live after Thanksgiving. And that's just the return flight. I'm not paying that bullshit money and I would never ask them to pay for it, even though it' s a rounding error for them. I'm old and can swing it, but still, fuck that.
