Perez Hilton's still around?

Ah yes, Perez Hilton. You may be a serial harasser of women and closeted gay men, but at least you're not a racist, right?

It's so strange to me how the pendulum has swung from conservative family groups and evangelicals to the supposed liberal youth as the people trying to police morality and such. Think about it; 20 years ago it was the family groups protesting the likes of South Park and Family Guy but if those shows were started today I guarantee you it would be these so-called liberals (Hell, most of them are already hating South Park for basically holding up a mirror to them).

These are people who believe male sexuality is dangerous, and that seeing unclothed or scantily clad females will inspire dangerous urges. Also sexually suggestive language is problematic, even parts of the body. Inanimate objects also can inspire dangerous male sexuality.

Oh wait, those were the Victorians. How are they different from 19th century prudes?

(They aren't)

wel
Why is he called jontron anyways? For some reason I always assumed it was a reference to Bonne Tron from that cool mega man spin off game, but I just looked that game up and it's Tron Bonne so now I have no idea.
well the obvious first part was his name, and he stated why the tron part somewhere, but i dont remember the video

According to the Wikipedia article, he named it Jontron because it reminded him of the Tim and Eric Awesome Show.

that's all I got bud.

Aparrently fat fuck Jim Sterling implied in a recent potcast that Yooka Laylee is a bad game (he has a review copy) and everyone who pre-ordered it should think twice.

If that's true: Top fucking kek

I had the feeling that the game was gonna be at least pretty, but boring, there will be salt to surpass Mighty No. 9

Which'd make me genuinely sad if true.

It's also ironic because Jim was calling for such games to come back because the larger publishers don't dare get their hands dirty on moderately profitable franchises and games types any more (such as platformers like Yookalaylee).

I guess in some ways our tastes have moved on slightly and we need something to attach us into the games a bit more nowadays, or it needs something "new" to add to it, which from what we've seen of Y-L so far is it's just Banjo Kazooie redux, which is great for the nostalgia crowd but are they big enough to sustain a project into profitability?

I like this because it makes what Team 17/Playtonic did even more hilarious. They fucked themselves trying to pander to a certain side, and now it's already obvious to (I mean, people are open about it. Well, not people, Jim) that that side doesn't even care.

They're like a prostitute who accepts an I.O.U and is surprised when all they get is fucked.

I'm a bit torn on this. On the one hand, it sucks that what was supposed to bring 3D platformers back might not be all that good (at this point I'm praying for the Crash Bandicoot remaster) but on the other hand Jim Sterling is pretty notorious for rating well received games lower scores so I don't really trust his reviews all that much.

He's fucking praying for another Mighty No. 9 to happen. Anything so he can spin the controversy and boost clicks about how he's always right. It's fucking annoying because he can do good work when he isn't virtue signaling with the force of a thermonuclear device.

If he has Laura Kata Dale in on something, you fucking know he's trying to wheedle something out of it.

I mean, he had LKD on Persona 5 and the result was the single lowest metacritic rating for the game so far, followed by "WAAH STOP HARASSING ME" and "I'mma go sexually assault some girls to cope" (paraphrasing).
Not that I can imagine good ol' Jimbo playing a Persona game.

But if YL is actually bad, I'm wondering if journos are gonna attempt to run defense to preempt a wave of "told you so" from Jontron fans.

My brother's going to be crushed if this game turns out to be bad.

The Banjo games have been a pretty big part of our childhood and he's really looking forward to playing this game.

Join the club, I can only hope that removing Jon was just an anomaly, not the prologue to Mighty No 9 2.0.
