Rare semi-W from Elizabeth Warren.

The Hill: "Warren backs Trump call to scrap debt limit, blasts GOP tax bill" (archive sites not working)
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) on Friday backed President Trump’s call to abolish the nation’s debt ceiling, pressing for bipartisan action to “get rid of it forever.”

In a post on X, Warren wrote that she and Trump agree that the debt limit, which caps how much money the Treasury can owe to pay the country’s bills, should “be scrapped to prevent an economic catastrophe.”

However, she also added in a jab to a GOP-crafted tax bill to enact Trump’s priorities that “jacking up the debt limit by $4 trillion to fund more tax breaks for billionaires is an outrage.”

Her post referenced recent comments Trump made shortly before at a press conference with tech billionaire Elon Musk earlier on Friday afternoon.

At the press conference, Trump cited Warren’s past support for abolishing the debt limit and said he “always agreed with her” on the matter.

“She wanted to see it terminated, gotten rid of not being voted on every five years or 10 years, and the reason was because it’s so catastrophic for our country,” Trump said.

The debt limit was last suspended by Congress as part of a bipartisan bill struck between former President Biden and GOP leadership in 2023, staving off the threat of national default through early 2025.

The Treasury Department said back in January that the government would have to implement “extraordinary measures” to keep the nation from defaulting on its more than $30 trillion debt – a scenario experts have warned would have disastrous economic effects for the U.S.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is urging Congress to raise the nation’s debt ceiling by mid-July to prevent a default, warning such extraordinary measures could be exhausted in August when Congress is set to be in recess.

Republicans are looking to raise the debt ceiling as part of the party’s broader tax and spending cuts package, but there are concerns over the plan’s path ahead amid intra-party rifts on tax changes, as well as reforms for programs like Medicaid and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
I get why the fiscal hawks hate the spending but this shit becomes a struggle session every few years. If Vance runs in 2028, he'll have a much easier time if he isn't dealing with something like this.

I seriously think progressives might just be straight up aliens or lizard people because what the actual fuck is this? This has got to be fake.

Nigger, the title font is in fucking papyrus and one of the lines is "I'd let Joe Rogan bang my wife."

EDIT: A&H niggers are retarded beyond belief, holy shit.

That's the "gacha" genre -- an entire genre of games that are "free to play" and usually not "pay to win," and the focus is on squeezing cash from whales by time-gating progression (with an offer to buy out the delay with real cash) and, like you mentioned, selling skins (or rather, selling tickets/tokens for "rolls" for a chance at getting a skin).

They make billions of dollars a year. It's fucking ridiculous. Genshin Impact alone makes more profit for its developer in a year than fucking Nintendo makes on Pokémon. And yes, it's all about cute anime girls, usually with big tits and admittedly delightful jiggle physics.
So basically the key changing genre?

I doubt Lex would throw in with them. He's grew up in the USSR prior to its collapse and knows better than most the dangers of what the left stands for. He also doesn't have a problem inviting guests that the left absolutely despises onto his show regularly. He's more popular now because he's pulling bigger guests including multiple heads of states for various countries. In the last year he's had Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, Argentinian President Milei, and Indian Prime Minister Modi on as guests.

I doubt the leftists would care for Lex either. He's a Jew and had Netanyahu on as a guest a few years back. If you look at this most popular videos it includes Tucker Carlson, Jordan Peterson, Elon Musk, and other people that the leftists would never forgive him for associating with. He's been around long enough to realize that there's no point in trying to appease those people either. He'll just invite people like Bernie Sanders and Sam Harris on too because he knows that even though is audience leans Republican they'll still tune in to listen to a guest like that.

He follows the Rogan model of talking with absolutely anybody who might be interesting and generally just tries to have a conversation with them, which makes other potential guests more interested in appearing where they can just spend a few hours talking and getting their points across unlike a traditional media interview where it's either an obvious glazing or dealing with a rabid attack dog. He just doesn't go off on tangents about aliens or other weird shit like Rogan does from time to time unless he has a guest on talking about that topic. I suspect he realizes that this is good for business and has no reason to deviate from that.
Why do people hate Lex so much? I get that people dislike him for trying so damn hard to be a Joe Rogan-type, and there are people who think he's astroturfed, but he does get some truly incredible guests. I really enjoyed his podcast with Roger Penrose and he invites on a lot of really good academics like Avi Loeb, who has the fucking audacity to suggest that certain freakish astrophysical phenomenon could be - GASP! - aliens, which is historically career suicide.

I read this story about a guy whose family home had been sold under their noses by the local government (in Texas of all places) without a letter of foreclosure.
Not to distract from the obviously tragic events here, but there was a name in that article that had me giggling. Dude really does wear many hats.

But to me, s/he resembles Scott Ritter much more.
She looks like Reid Hoffman in drag.
I think she resembles that Jabba the Hutt-looking TikTok troon behemoth more than anything.

Wait being Chinese wasn't already a birth defect?
Appropriate:

He's really boring and fake. I tried to listen a few times because he gets good guests but he ruins his own podcasts.
Fake how? I get the impression that he really is as sappy and naive as he presents himself, but I don't know much about the guy's personal life or foibles. All I know is his dad is a full professor at Drexel and that helped his academic career, but you don't get a tech research position at MIT if you're a bumbling idiot.

This has to be another money laundering operation. If you're in such a bubble that you forget how to talk to people, you don't need classes on how to socialize with your average person. You need to deprogram yourself from whatever cult you're in.

He'll be remembered as the guy who thought a black hole sucked up the Malaysian plane.
By “black hole,” what he means is that the plane has been in his ass. He got it in up to the wings.

A comment from that is written by poo hands:

“No nation, be it the United States or China, can now easily thwart this momentum, for any attempt to do so would bear but minimal consequence upon India’s economy.”

That’s an awful lot of words to say “YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REDEEM.”

I don't like his crypto+soy+ai+autism+atheism angle. I only watched a few of his videos back in 2020 (I think one of them was a Neil DeGrass Tyson interview), but every time I watched one I can't shake the feeling he would enjoy living in the pod, eating the bugs, owning nothing, and was trying to make that "utopia" come to fruition.
Also, he wears a poorly fitting suit and his shower curtain setup is shit.

I never got the impression that he was pro-globohomo, but he does have a soy techbro vibe so I understand that. What bugs me about him are the sappy and naive questions he asks some people, but I do enjoy the episodes of him and Michael Malice. I disagree with Malice's politics quite strongly, but I do love his shitposting and his work on North Korea and Soviet predations are commendable.

That's a significant part of his appeal, "appeal to authority." "This guy is smart so his words are smart" but listening to his podcasts he says really dumb shit just to say it and sound smart, it's obnoxious. Same with the "intellectual dark web" group or whatever they snootily call themselves.
Fake how?
He's one of those people who talks like he does 500 things every day and is a super human. I haven't listened to him in years so have no recent example, I don't like his presentation.

If this is the best response, than I'd say he's doing pretty good. "We should accept hardworking people who want to be Americans" is not only a far cry from "White Americans just aren't good enough", and is something most of the GOP already agrees with. For better or worse, the average MAGA is pro-legal immigrant. Just as are any run of the mill conservatives. The fact Vance was saying this a decade ago doesn't mean he's a hypocrite. People can change their views. They often do when the get married (even to a foreigner), and have children. Trump last I checked was the exact same way as Vance. Which is probably why Vance is VP, and not some rino, right now. Our goal should be to convince our family and friends that actually, we have enough people in the US. We don't need anymore. Not tarring people who are already on our side.
Some people get it a little twisted with all the illegal immigration in the past few years. America has always accepted legal immigrants who actually do dream of being an American through and through. It's not as funny of a position to take as "all browns in the oven." but it's real life and not a meme. I've met lots of legal immigrants that are very good people and I'm glad to have them here, it's a whole different story when you start talking about the people who made a point to come here illegally that sit outside of Home Depot all day looking for dubious work or fresh white women to rape and murder.

I'm not saying that we should be accepting tons of immigrants in the US right now, now is a very bad time for that but eventually we will hopefully be ready to accept and vet the good people who deserve a chance at being an American because they want to do it the right way and actually pay their taxes. Vance having this stance is completely normal and sane to anyone that's not in too deep on the 4chan side of things to actually function in real life.
