I'm very ignorant of Gabe Hoffman, at the risk of being Late and Gay, who is he and why is he involved with making criminal accusations against Nick Rekieta?
He's a Jewish hedge fund manager that made a documentary on Pedowood called 'An Open Secret'. At some point Ralph got into a one-sided feud with him because he got it into his wet brain that Hoffman is secretly bankrolling Josh and the Kino Casino to support Zionism and generally make his life miserable. So now he's a fringe Sektur participant where everyone engages in this long-running joke that he's some kind of amoral puppetmaster paying people off to make fun of the likes of Ralph, Rekieta, etc.

"THEY SAY I BEAT MY KIDS, SEAN!!!"
>they say I have an alcohol problem, Sean
>they say I have a degeneracy problem, Sean
>they say I have a drugs problem, Sean
>they say I neglect my kids, Sean
(we are here)
>they say I beat my kids, Sean
I don't know who these fabled "they" are but I like the cut of their jibs.

THEY also seem right a lot of the time.

Now look, Faran might still be a lush, but I would still pee in her butt. But this Twitter slap fight is hilarious.

Matthew Hardin is the kind of lawyer that Nick Rekieta wishes he could have been.
Other than the "not able to practice" thing, Nick is exactly the lawyer he wanted to be. A guy with a nice title who can sit on his ass and do nothing.

Rekieta got worked over verbally by some small town cop. What a fucking dunce.
It's funny how Mr. Word Games, turns out to be really bad at them when he tries them on people not under his sway.

we know there are photos of the inside of the house from the arrest day out there, which Sean has seen
Minor correction, Sean has said he's seen pictures from inside the house. He hasn't said the pics were from arrest day, to my knowledge. Apparently the place was a sty, but that doesn't nail the time down at all, other than not during the CPS 6 months.

Another funny bit- did Nick's lawyer, Mr White, even need to put the footage into evidence? Obviously it wasn't used. Could this all have been moot if Nick had hired moderately competent counsel?

He's also proof that meme magic is real. The Hoffman Gang is one of the long-running nemeses of ancient tranny lolcow Tommy Tooter. Tom might not be part of The Sektur, but it's funny nonetheless.

So what's happening with Nick Mother?

Has she been enabling his behaviour by giving Nick pharmaceuticals or has he been stealing from family?

Does he want a golden sticker for (computes numbers) being sober for an entire 45 days and around 2 hours?
This guy is so smug and pathetic. It'll be glorious when we see the bodycam footage.
And it's embarrassing that he's been sober for such a short time given his kids were first taken from him about a year ago. Even after all the turmoil his drug use caused him, his career and his family, he couldn't come clean any sooner, it was only once it became an absolute legal necessity that he decided to become """sober""" while abusing prescription meds and whip-its. To where do I send the award?

I first learned about Gabe from the Mersh documentary by Porsalin and then on the Kino Casino. He looks pretty cool, tbh.

Speaking of Gabe, does anybody remember Nick's Easter debacle last year?

Lets not sell these lawyers short friend. They've set things up so that if they do win a lawsuit for the bodycam footage, they will get paid by the County. Which is good, I hope they make $999,999. Always be suspicious if lawyers are doing something for free.

That got me thinking, what if Nick is just the useful idiot here. This is probably not the first time candy yoshi county has pissed off lawyers by pulling the Small Town Law routine. This is the opportunity for someone to embarrass them in a larger venue, with the bonus of playing with house money. Quoting Warski from last night "Have you ever seen an entire county get a-logged before?"

Officials involved in the judiciary give absolutely zero fucks about how much something costs. No matter how stupid their antics, no matter the fact that a given course of action will expose the city/county/state/whatever to absurd liabilities requiring big payouts to [whoever], it's not coming out of their own pockets, so "who gives a shit?" They're free to do whatever stupid shit they want (or get bribed/pressured to do) and they never get punished.
100% true. Government budgets aren't so big because that money is actually needed, it's because no one that is in charge of it gives a single molecule of shit about managing it correctly.

Personally, I'm a bit suprised no attempt at to temporarily restrain the county from deleting the footage or otherwise manipulating it, or the originals, which would be irreperable harm, no? Since this would be a permanent depervation of Hardin's consitutional and common law right to view the footage.
Isn’t evidence in a criminal trial still legally required to be retained for some time even after the criminal case has concluded?

This has been brought up ad nassium in the past 24 hours: they’ve already demonstrated a disregard for the law. Even if Null wins a noncompliance lawsuit against the county, restitution would merely be monetary, with no repercussions towards the sheriff or prosecutor and the footage still gone.

Another funny bit- did Nick's lawyer, Mr White, even need to put the footage into evidence? Obviously it wasn't used. Could this all have been moot if Nick had hired moderately competent counsel?
Nick’s whole contention was that April wasn’t Mirandized. Because presumably he was too occupied whining about probable cause at the time to notice that she in fact was.
So he probably ordered the bodycam be put into the system to epically own the cops, and the lawyer didn’t bother to watch through it all to see that it proved the exact opposite.

Isn’t evidence in a criminal trial still legally required to be retained for some time even after the criminal case has concluded?
That's a big part of this issue here. We had video that was entered into evidence for a criminal trial and now they're claiming it's not evidence anymore. If it's not evidence, retention practices say keep it 90 days (bodycam retention policy linked earlier in the thread). Absent ongoing litigation they'd be free to delete it at this point.

This is an extremely atypical scenario. I have never seen or heard of this happening, ever. Both because usually the justice system is more than happy to let the public see video that 100% vindicates their conduct, and because it's an utterly retarded legal stance.

I would think they'd want to keep it until it's fully settled, in this case his probation is over, so 5 years just in case shit hits the fan and they bring back the charges.
But that doesn't mean anything. They'll still delete it "on accident" if they want.
