The worst part about Ian's reddit explanation is how it sounds good without context. CC2 failed to donate to charity so CC3 charity is separate meaning if the event crashes and burn the charity still goes. This means the event becomes for profit and as the organizer he should profit. This was technically public knowledge from the start and argueably better for everyone involved.
But then you remember he preached SO HARD that it was a CHARITY EVENT and Ethan is a bad person for criticize him it. He clinged on that straw to the ends of his life. I don't know why he did since it could so easily backfire but he did, presumably cause he would rather die than letting Ethan win, and so he died.
Even now his explanation can't save him as it's very clear he's only responding because the new organizers snitched him. If they didn't mention the 34%, Ian would be chilling and Anisa would be tweeting her dinner, but instead he had to damage control in a few hours while anisa can only seethe in silence for a while.
Meanwhile, snarkers are in full meltdown. There is no thread about LA Beast quitting and people are only defending Ian because they hate h3h3 too much to have common sense.
