Well the kids are neglected for sure. And in my experience, parents like Nick also love to tell their kids “You’re fine” if they cry or come to them with pain or something that is upsetting to them.
Don’t fucking do this, especially when a child hurts themselves and is crying. “You’re fine” gets interpreted by their still-forming brains as “Your feelings are wrong and you can’t trust them. Now stop being a burden.” In the case of a semi-public family, “You’re making us look bad” is another fucked up message tagging onto that.
Nick will never acknowledge any situation affecting his kids that would require him to make some kind of sacrifice. He comes first, always. We can see that by his continued insistence upon humiliating his children on a daily basis with his shameful online revelations and antics.
The worst part: When a mother is not present for her children (emotional presence is often absent even with physical presence), that child’s father becomes even more important. For him to be emotionally absent as well creates literal terror in the minds of the children. Kids are dependent on parents to keep them alive — literally. The human brain knows when it is in existential danger.
Kids do what they need to do to get their needs met. They’re not conscious of it, but that’s where acting out comes from. “Will you pay attention to me now that I’m behaving in a way that can’t be ignored? No? How about now?” as their behavior gets more and more extreme.
Do any of those kids get even two minutes of either parent’s undivided attention on any given day? I seriously doubt it.
Eventually at least one of those kids is going to do something irreversibly damaging because their needs are not being met or even acknowledged. My fear and sneaking suspicion is that such behavior is already well underway.
As I’ve said many times, pray for the Rekieta kids. None of this is their fault and the worst of the consequences are ALL theirs to bear.

When Nick said he feels that sobriety is “boring”, that is all you need to know. He gets no joy or enjoyment out of fathering and spending time with his children. That’s “boring” to him, he’d rather be getting fucked up on substances. His kids get in the way of that.
Typically he has a scheduled test and can be subject to random testing at any time under Minnesota probation guidelines. The tests aren't going to show nitrous, and most people on probation look pretty rough so Nick wouldn't be the anomaly he is online to a probation officer. Realistically all the things he's doing are pointing towards reoffending anyway, so I don't think the probation is going to matter. If he decides to go ape some whiskey with his now lowered tolerance and loses his shit and Kayla calls the cops for instance.

Thing is: They don’t HAVE to waive his jail sentence. They MAY waive his 27 day jail sentence. It’s not a guarantee.
If Nick shows up, looking dapper and healthy, talking about how he found the good lord and how much he enjoys his new job and being a law abiding citizen? They’d waive it.
If Nick looks like shit, shows signs of drug abuse irrespective of clean tests and haven’t taken any steps to find gainful employment? Yeah, there’s a decent chance they’ll send him to jail for a month. Probation is supposed to show that you have learned your lesson.
If you just keep doing the same shit you used to do, irrespective of dirty tests, that usually tells them to tighten the screws. If you’re on probation and show signs of using, despite clean tests, they’re unlikely to go: “Oh well! Innocent till proven guilty!”

The goal is to cause Nick to slowly stop showing any of himself on stream, and then eventually to stop streaming. Maybe then he has a chance of recovery.

A few days late, but i think Nick letting other men fuck his wife is what caused Drexel to disown him, all the times he and Nick laughed at the "snack tray" joke, he was clearly disgusted by cuckolds, despite being a sexual degenerate.
I think the straw that broke the camel's back was finding out the "Christian" friend he respected for being the opposite of his pleasure seeking behaviour was more interested in holding the snack tray than living up to his projected values was a knife to this nigga's heart.

I'm going to posit a theory on this. The kids are okay from Nick's point of view because it is once again a word game. They're not dead, missing limbs, or about to drop dead from starvation, (I make no claims on if his daughter who tested positive is being sexually abused).
