In fact, i searched random BAD youtuber (saintomas) to make a comparison, and i heard people hate this dude. In this video he literally admits not playing and reacts to a different youtuber who player T9 for 30 minutes.

(dont give him views, its to get an idea)

This motherfucker does like 8 WuWa and 12 hoyo clickbait videos per day.
Sorry for bringing back old topics off bad gacha tubers, however it also reminded me of Glaivekiyo

He's just like Saintontas (by making multiple videos on WuWa and hoyo) but also keeps comparing Star rail to WuWa, last time I checked one is a turn based the other is a hack n slash.

As the user stated above me, it's heavily PVP focused which is a no go zone for me.
Al-tho PVP is a red flag, it depends how it's implemented, I heard Nikke Goddess has PVP but it's both not mandatory and a joke just like Warframe's "PVP".

I hope some of the new gacha games coming out gives them a run for their money
If they come for the king they better not miss — there have been cases of games lauded as genshin killers but they either fail or just exacerbate the problem.
That said, I do wish more gachas come out to make them shit their pants in the way WuWa did.
WuWa for example, was hailed as the second coming of Christ in the gacha world but in reality was always built on the basic framework of Genshin ( the gacha system being the most obvious ). Riding off its coattails at first and building up player goodwill by giving their gachapiggies the illusion of 'generosity', before now going down the same route as Hoyo has with massive content droughts, shitty characters kits that are cucked unless you pull for their BiS team as HSR does — the entire upcoming catalogue is like that (Zani/Phoebe, Ciaccona/Cartethyia, Cantarella/Phrolova), they also completely veered from their original post-apocalyptic aesthetic and are doing a cutesy, fairytale rework vibe like Genshin has been doing with Natlan in general (Pokémon saurians instead of dragons in .. the land of dragons).

Speaking of which, if they are to make an open world gacha, could someone make a shooter? Snowbreak is one but it's mostly chained through missions, a Destiny gacha would be good, since any shitty monetization brought about by gacha companies would be benign compared to how inept and predatory Bungie actually is.
He's just like Saintontas (by making multiple videos on WuWa and hoyo) but also keeps comparing Star rail to WuWa
I hate these people, they add nothing of value except produce the same worthless slop over and over .. small gacha youtubers are better since they critique every game without much bias, all the big/medium sized ones are obviously sponsored by the company to run PR for them.

Reinstalled ZZZ, I really like Hugo's design and would like to pull for him, but 2.0 .. :(
What's your opinion of the upcoming Yixuan skin? It's less revealing than her default, but I think it looks really elegant, like Astra's skin in the store, or Evelynn's default look.

It's not perfect but i'm very happy with how Gaming is currently.

1748386063534.webp

This is with MH and C6 so count +36 crit and 20 crit + 40 crit dmg so it goes into 84/185 with WGS. Energy is too high but not having to rely on bennet is nice and 240 EM sounds good enough right? This is atk% sands too (yeah he got 240 EM from rolls).

I only know of this game because prydwen has a countdown for its release. The fact that it has PvP is turning me off from trying it.
As the user stated above me, it's heavily PVP focused which is a no go zone for me.

I heard on the gacha subreddit the devs had clarify that dupes count towards pvp too meaning f2p have zero chance against whales, and it's very strong dupes too, like giving you a strong passive and then free raw damage resist + dmg bonus too.

It seems like pvp gives pulls and other resources and takes a while, but i don't know if it's against AI controlled teams.

It works like that in new Arknights. I remember Asmongoy playing it some time ago.

If this is true then Tribe nine died so ZZZ can have 3 people on field at the same time, it keeps getting pissed and shat on.

Why do MHY games always start out alright and then shit the bed later on?

Because they trick you first then milk while getting away with it! Genshin still gets millions of downloads per month and is in no way dying. Star Rail is greedy af but they gave a free ruan mei and everyone forgot castorice global passive. Only zzz seems more desperate but it's probably not failing, simply not reaching as huge numbers.

Like, ZZZ and Star Rail got buff announcements but genshin got nothing, cause why bother? This fandom will keep defending hoyo and yell that the only 10~ good 4* (with c6r5) in the game can beat abyss so there is no there is no need to fix albedo's flower.

He's just like Saintontas (by making multiple videos on WuWa and hoyo) but also keeps comparing Star rail to WuWa, last time I checked one is a turn based the other is a hack n slash.

>Wasn't star rail dead? What happened?

It had an anniversary and made money you retard. I answered in 2 seconds what he milked for 10 minutes. All his videos are 10 minute long too, no soul.

WuWa CC community really not beating the allegations of having no personality beyond hating genshin. A fandom with no inside jokes or culture (gooning doesn't count). The best they ever produced was the phone copypasta made by a hater.

In other news, if anyone plays Limbus Company (i always get it confused with rev1999), there was some drama recently because the devs released an extremely overpowered unit that has a broken sinergy with another unit, to the point they announced they would NERF both units and give +30 rolls and refund every roll you did on her banner.

This sparked outrage in korea and other places with players sending death threats aka "The suicide truck will blow in front of your company" until the devs backtracked and said they will not nerf nor refund anymore.

... But then this created another controversy with the people who heard ot the refunds and rolled everything on that banner character, meaning they're review bombing the game! What a dillema lol.

Good thing I haven't started that yet

So basically, aside from every modern gacha game starting off the foundation laid by Genshin, also falls into the same scum behavior set by the makers of Genshin. I've had zero prior experience with gachas before Genshin, was it always like this?

Oh no, it used to be MUCH worse. When I first started Final Fantasy Record Keeper in 2014-2015 there was no pity. You could spend hundreds of dollars and not get a single 5*. Genshin used to have no guarantee on weapon banners. .Techtone spent $1000 trying to get a Staff of Homa and didn't get one. That led to MHY putting in the third times the charm wish system then reduced it to every other loss instead.

As far as i know Gacha was ALWAYS scum genre, as it's a mix of f2p pay 2 win mobile thrash, live service / MMO fomo and pseudo-gambling dopamine of opening a card pack and getting that super rare card (and card game powercreep).

I use "pseudo-gambling" because there is no "winning" in gacha. You cannot make your money back and the game will eventually die. At least a pokemon card won't evaporate.

I might be wrong but i think the "pioneer" of pre-hoyo gacha models was puzzles* & dragons (from dragon quest devs) back in 2012. It's a match 3 pvp game was a hit in japan and it had gacha dragons with have their own health that you fight indirectly. This game rules would inspire a lot of other japanese gacha, like having no pity or guarantee at all, like dragon ball and fate gacha. Note that Puzzles and dragons is still alive and playable, making it the oldest gacha alive.

Chinese gacha tried to be different and have stuff like pity and guarantee, not out of good will mind you but because it still preys on you on a different way. You get a 4* every 10 rolls so it wasn't a total waste right? You got nothing good but you built pity right? You're so close to pity so maybe you should spend just a little to make sure. You lost 50/50 but at least it's better than having no guarantee isn't it?

Genshin isn't even first or worst of hoyo, because honkai 3 was way more predatory. In that game you have 50/50 into guarantee and pity but you had both weapon AND gear gacha AND pet gacha (with dupes), which is unfair even by modern standards. Note that the gear gacha had guarantee but it's 3 pieces meaning you can effectivelly keep getting 2/3 pieces and waste a fortune (i never got pardofelis full set...). Both gear and weapon are pratically exclusive.

It was also absurd retarded pay 2 win bullshit. Some characters had exclusive gacha weapons that stop the timer during your ult animation which is so funny i don't even know how to explain. I never seen a videogame do this ever. But there is probably some worse p2w licensed stuff out there.

1748396631596.webp

Like i said here before, i think the only reason genshin doesn't have insane powercreep is because 3 4* units ended overpowered by accident (bennet, xinqiu, xingling) so they had to balance the game around them for years.

Youtube needs to be at least 10 minutes for monetization. Drama clickbait and hate farming is encouraging by Youtube too, that Saintontas is even getting close to Tectone. So great.
I hate essay videos and morons pretending to be smart by listening to those videos too.
I wish all of these grifter faggots getting AIDs in minecraft.

Just save up for Yi Xuan. Despite few others say, she has new element. No, it's just a special Ether version like how Miyabi has special Frost version.
About power creep, she does not take over Miyabi because different role. Consider end game modes, you need multiple teams. Miyabi does not work with Yi Xuan in the same team, due to their gameplay and passives. Especially Deadly Assault game mode, certain bosses require specific mechanic and element to be completed for additional score. Bringer wants anomaly disorder team comp, but nobody is gonna use Physical anomaly because he resists to Physical. And his eyeball phase is the worst thing to ATK team comp.

Oh btw, Yi Xuan scales with HP so basically all previous supports are useless to her. Even with Rina specializes in penetration stat because Yi Xuan is rupture and has her own ignore defense scaling stat.

New class means new weapon type and also new additional passive effect, pair with X class(es) unit or same faction thing.
Her alt outfit is alright, better than how it used to look (volleyball texture on breasts). But it exchanges butt cheeks for tights/pantyhose kink. It's better than Astra's alt outfit imo. I can't get over giant gold circles looking like Bangboo eyes.

....Thank you, fuck you, bye!

But yeah that's partly what I had feared with the pvp model. It'd be whale paradise and turns out that's exactly what it turned into.

Maybe it changes later down the road but alas, I don't want to bother with other assholes when indulging in my gambling sim.

Edit: Oh Rememento: White Shadow just launched its English website.

Pardon the link as I'm on mobile but

I downloaded and installed yesterday so I'll give it a go later today.

Let us know what you think, because this one also has PvP.
Yeah my dumbass noticed that after scrolling around the website. I think though I can handle pvp if it's not the main part of the game, like with Etheria.

Anyway, onto the game. I don't go in with mild high expectations, seeing how it's a Korean gacha and those are far outside my wheelhouse. And it's long.
I'm just gonna split it up into sections.. This is based on a single hour and is generally just first impressions.

First things first.
NO CONTROLLER SUPPORT. I checked the settings. They might patch it in later, but for now, no controller support.

Anyway, there's only Korean servers and global. I tried global. Of voiceovers, there are Korean and Japanese. I went for Japanese. Of text languages, it has Korean, Japanese, English, and German for some reason.

You can select between male and female, but you can actually change it later on, the game states.

It does play a lot like WuWa movement-wise. You can jump and sprint, although you cannot climb, but in order to battle enemies, you will need to attack them as in HSR. One thing to note. Evidently, character elements are tied to exploration mechanics, so a "green element" character can create a current for you to fly through and reach a higher point.
3.webp
Now onto the battle system. Like your average JRPG, it's turned-based by speed. Your skill points from HSR are MP. You have two attacks. Basic and skill. For most characters, they can attack or they can use MP to enhance their main attack so it becomes a skill like in Star Rail. Using three MP enhancements is an ult. Also yes, you recover MP by using non enhanced basic attacks. For the elf bitch, it's healing but she also does damage becuase she killed an enemy after I used her ult to heal my team. That flew over my head.
4.webp
Also important to note if you're too used to Star Rail's ult system, there's a cooldown based on turns. So you have to wait three turns before you can use your ult again. That's the little symbol you see on the left of the characters. I just used fox bitch's ult, hence the 3.

Lemme tell you something. The animation for the MC's ult is actually really fucking lame. There is no animation actually. You get a visual and then a cut to black and boom enemies are dead. The fuck? Lmao.

Addendum: this is actually a glitch appearently becuase later on it works fine. It was just kinda jaring at first between MC and fox bitch and HER stuff.
It does have a few glitches. Like whatever the fuck this is.
uhm.webp
Side note: This is fox bitch.
not a troon.webp
I capitalized HER becuase her name is Jeremiah and at one point, before her introduction, the writing reffers to her with male pronouns but she's very obviously female, even got tits so it's not a femboy situation. I'm guessing this is a translation error.

Anyway, much like Star Rail, you do weakness break on enemies, but it is actually tied to what type of enemy it is and what types your characters are. Becuase, unlike Star Rail, where you have the option to use two or more types to break toughness, enemies only have one type.

So think Pokemon. Fire burns grass types, water douses fire types, etc. They have an in-game guide about it. I get the feeling I'll need to use this a lot.
elements.webp
Also here's something interesting. All characters have passives. Here's the one for the first three you get.
Main character: DMG increase by 30% when attacking toughness broken enemies.
Elf Bitch: Heals 5% of max HP for everyone every turn.
Fox Bitch: Each time an enemy is attacked, her "effectiveness" is increased by 2.4% and can stack 10 times.

Regarding the MP, you start with five at every battle but you can actually have ten at max. With the way the MP is designed, I think this was necessary. Imagine the nightmare if you were forced to have five at max when your characters can consume two per turn at least.

Also, this is nice, you can go back on using MP points or ults if you regret your tactic. Finally, I don't know if this is just because I'm going through the prologue right now, but you heal after every battle.

Starts out with your average opening cutscene regarding something about the Golden Wood Event. You fight some witch lady and her cult members to protect some girl, until everything goes tits up, you get stabbed in the stomach by witch lady after another cult woman incapacitates you and girl gets...uhh consumed and corrupted by red evil magic, I suppose by the cult. She later appears in your dreams, forgiving you, I suppose. It was a little...confusing because of the next part.

Becuase you wake up on the ground, approached by big titty witch lady called Wishia talking about a crashed airship that you and your companions were riding so basically the first chapter is finding your companions. There's a missing connection between the opening cutscene and the airship part.

However, later on, they do go into some about the cult and the witch lady, as well as how her powers work and lore dumps about the cult woman too. They are witches, and witches are vile in this universe. They also have names, but I'm just being petty. However, the cult itself is called The Moon Shadow Cult.
It's worth noting that you know shit is about to go awry when the sky gets an eye.
well that's not good.webp

Spoiler: I will admit that they got me good when it's revealed, albeit early on, that she's not to be trusted.
But I mean...witches are the villains. Witch bitch is a witch. Ah, I'm stupid.

Presentation is standard fare. Graphics are fine, but the world design is a bit meh. It does kinda feel a tad bit cheap at points, especially since they added a Wilhelm scream in one cutscene.
1.webp
2.webp
Something about it just feels....kinda cheap. Idk.

Anyway you can actually click through dialog and skip shit. I haven't done that, but the option is there at least. Also, lip sync is predominantly Korean, so JP voices don't match up at all.

You get a free 4* character upon logging in for the first time and then you get elf bitch, fox bitch and sword man with dark skin in relatively quick succession. All are 4*.
yo.webp
Also, I'm sorry, but the male main character's face is really dopey-looking. I might switch over to the female just and hope she doesn't look as retarded.

Anyway the freebie bitch.
child.webp
I'll call her corpse child.
Because the characters have actual ages, huh, neat. Even your main character; they are 19.
Also worth noting is that all characters have combat roles. There's a fancy lil explanation in the character menu. combat roles.webp
Darkie from earlier is a defensive character, btw.

Like all gacha games, all characters have cons/Es/mindscapes, but they have five as opposed to six like in MHY games.

And there's gear. "Weapons" which are effectively and visually light cones. Even has the illustrations and everything. There's also gear to give your characters. Six pieces. I haven't gotten to getting any yet so I can't say anything about it.

Gacha system
Okay, so something that immediately made me raise an eyebrow in the gacha system is there's no info regarding a gurantee. Was looking for info regarding it but nothing. You have a 50/50 but what is even the pity? The menu doesn't state it.

BTW I'm going 100% F2P so...

There's a lot of gibs for new players, though but still.
Side note: Apparently, you get anywhere from 80-100 pulls per patch according to Korean players. A lot of it was also gibs because the game was horribly optimized.

You can however, buy units from the store. Apparently, there's no pity at all, but you can buy a 5* from the shop after 120 pulls. On the flipside, featured characters + their sigs get dumped to standard when their banner ends.

Pulls do carry over to the next banner.

Other stuff I noted but didn't know where to fit in.
So you have 300 not resin.

And this is your statue of the seven...or tower of eclipse. They unlock maps.
statue of the not seven.webp

YOU GET A MOUNT. It's a bit like Dynasty Warriors or Dragon Age, where the mounts have different stats regarding their speed.
what are you.webp
So far, I have two. Whatever the fuck this is and a battle goat. They have the same stats, so I'm sticking to llama corgi here.

Regarding PVP, there's a lot of single-player focus at first, which makes sense to get people into the system.

Other things.
There's a really dumb moment early on where the bridge ahead is destroyed and witch bitch Wishia uses magic to fix it. Elf bitch is like "Wow, it appeared before my eyes!" and Witch is like "Hehehe this place is filled with mysteries!"

????????????????????????
Ma'am, you did it in front of us. What are you even talking about?

Anyway, so to sum it up, the base gameplay is alright. It takes some getting used to, but I don't mind it. It's pretty fun. No controller support is annoying, but for what it is, I can manage. I will probably put the game down until they add it.

Now, the biggest issue I have is the unclear gacha system. But maybe it'll be worked on in future patches. And by that, I mean better explained.

I like that skin because it masks how slim her arms are.

....Thank you, fuck you, bye!

But yeah that's partly what I had feared with the pvp model. It'd be whale paradise and turns out that's exactly what it turned into.

To be fair, if PVP is the "true endgame" in etheria restart then it might unintentionally loop back into being pointless if you simply ignore it anyway.

Like, if you play pvp you would spend the rolls and mats in more meta units and upgrades right? But if you ignore it, then you can just spend on who you want and enjoy the main game/story? I never played gacha pvp so idk, but it's funny to think about.

I'm sorry what the hell is wrong this website?? Is it literally just a picture and nothing else? Why does clicking on anything at all made me start download something?? It feels like the world's most unsubtle crypto miner. Are you sure this isn't malware lol.

And this game looks an unholy bootleg hybrid of WuWa and star rail.

Ok that's funny :story:

So the battle system is similar to Magia Exedra, where you have attackers/breakers/buffers/debuffers/defenders/healers and the breaking system. Gacha is giving me Nikke vibes. The fact that it has no controllet support is retarded, but maybe it can be worked through Steam (Infinity Nikki also had controller issues, but I could use Steam with it and it solved the issues).

It is very cumbersome but it's one of those sites where you scroll and don't click. It's very optimized for mobile.

It's funny you say that because articles and reddit does too. Wuthering Star Rail. Or Star Rail but edgy.

The game is actually on the Epic Store but I don't know if it's on steam too.

Also I don't use or know anything about the Epic Store so I don't know if controller issues can be fixed there.
Gacha is giving me Nikke vibes
Might be. Rememento is a Korean gacha so maybe it's just the standard order there.

You can add the game to Steam or run controller desktop. I was able to use a controller for Black Beacon like that, but I couldn't control the camera and charge skill directions.

I agree with @LucasSomething. It looks like bootleg WuWa with HSR mixed in. Looks very cheap. I don't know if it's gonna survive for long.

Edit: Oh, I just remember I use a program for Nikke's arcade that lets me use the controller. I forgot the name for it though.
