They're co-opting a feminist demonstration tactic where women would expose parts of their bodies in order to make a point.
The first example I know of this was a demonstration in 1976 where Yale female crew athletes (and their male coach) barged into the Dean's office and stripped their clothes off to reveal the words "TITLE IX" written on their bodies. They also made a speech about how Yale was exploiting the women's crew team (and the bodies of the athletes) by not giving them the same amount of practice time, resources, or even access to showers that the men's crew team enjoyed, and demanded that the school start obeying Title IX, which mandates equity between men's and women's sports teams.

SlutWalks also sometimes involve women taking off their clothes and writing messages on their bodies during the protest to highlight that women are treated as sexual objects without agency. Women also will dress in "slutty" clothes for slutwalks to protest the idea that wearing suggestive clothing means it's OK for men to rape them. So in that case the nudity is used as a protest against rape culture. (IMO a somewhat confused and paradoxical protest, and one that you generally only see in nations where women have less fear of male violence and enjoy a higher degree of safety. For example, NYC and Amsterdam do annual SlutWalks, and nothing bad happens, but I do not think feminists in India would organize a SlutWalk, because they can't count on their safety or police protection if they did.)

It's effective on a few levels - the first being that naked female bodies in public tend to draw attention, and more attention means the protest will reach more people and has a better shot of changing people's minds and perhaps policy. The second is (slightly paradoxically) to highlight how women's bodies are treated like fungible objects, by writing protest slogans on them as an act of civil resistance.

So the trannies are doing this because they want to tap into that rhetoric - but they come off looking like group exhibitionists trying to make the general public uncomfortable. Women naked in public is a horse of a different color than men getting naked in public. When men expose themselves in public it's almost always as a kind of sexual intimidation towards women and I am kind of surprised the troons don't get that it still reads that way, because they are still men. It also doesn't help that they're protesting for like, the right to get access to women's saunas or to have free government funded SRS for kids under 10, for which hardly anyone who isn't trans has much sympathy.

Reason #199 why trannies got no place in feminism: they actively encourage each other to prostitute themselves. I don't think even the most sex worker inclusive of sex positive feminists would actively endorse prostitution as a good idea to make money fast. At best they kind of accept it's a "choice" that women make when other job opportunities aren't paying them enough to get by and they tend to acknowledge that whoring is a set of golden handcuffs, because in order to whore at a high level you need to invest a ton of your profits into costumes, shoes, makeup, personal care, """"protection"""" and things like that.
