If you'd asked me a year ago, I'd have said it was impossible for a middle class white man to get arrested for cocaine possession in Minnesota -- because unless you're dealing, nobody gives much of a fuck. Not sure if it’s been brought up before, but I’m convinced that the main reason Nick made a big stink about the “revenge pornography” was so he could maintain control over Kayla. You get a drunk call from the person in charge of your children, and the first thing you do (if you are a responsible parent) upon reconnecting with your children, is ask them for all the details of what happened. If the nanny was drunk, other bad things may have happened. Did she get angry and yell at the children? Hit them? Neglect them? Put porn on the TV? Have unauthorized people over to the house?

If she violated your trust in such a fundamental way, you would be worried about what other ways she might have violated your trust. And having been unable to protect your children from her drunken presence and anything that may have happened as a result, you would very much be motivated to know what happened so that you could help your children heal from those negative experiences, and also so that the nanny could be appropriately punished.
