I loved the Mauler/Synth conflict. It was so autistic and unexpected. I didn't even foresee Mauler making a 3hr supercut of Synth's gaffes to shit on him.
The fact it exploded just because Synth said Rag's bisexuality was his character flaw is absolute kino.

Wait really? I kind of wondered why this gained any traction but most of this spat was with synth and mauler, rags was just present since he was part of the podcast.

It didn't explode because of that. From that stream, Mauler mentioned he was just browsing various streams about God of War since they were playing it and talking about it on EFAP at the time. Synth kept mentioning Mauler, so Mauler kept watching and dug through clips and found Synth talking shit about them, talking about the JQ or other random stuff. Then Mauler decided to make a compilation and feature it for a full episode. Seemingly Mauler was unaware of Synth before Synth's GoW streams.

The /v/ consensus is that Mauler just kept Synth and his fanboys out of sight until they began ribbing at his internet friends.
It seems that Mauler took a personal offense at the timestamp this YouTuber posted on the EFAP ITT.

If i remember correctly, Mauler was specifically looking for creators on youtube that were critical of the game and asked his chat to give him recommendations, synths review was overwhelmingly the most commonly recommended. He was confused by his video so he went through his live streams of the game to inform some of synth's opinions, Mauler finding synth's streams wasn't random.
