I don't know if anyone has posted this in the thread, i'm not going to look through all 50 pages, this thread was only at 14 pages when I looked at it in PG last week. I feel like the OP is missing the reason he was ever featured on the site in the first place. It's missing his interaction with Mauler over the most recent God of war game.
I haven't watched it in a while but from memory I thought their coverage of his video pretty well illustrated that he was genuinely bad at the game and didn't pay much attention to the story, which seriously harmed his critique. This caused a small schism in Mauler's audience at the time and in the time since synthetic man's channel grew significantly.

Personally not a fan of some of the art direction but it's weird hearing him say that the combat was shallow. I mean, the original was no Devil May Cry either, and it's not supposed to be. A deep the combat system is bottom of the totem pole for a survival horror game.

I just don't like the Doomer attitude towards everything, It's not the first time Doom as a series has radically changed it's identity with it's sequels as compared to say CoD, and sometimes the changes are not that good. His takes just takes me back to post 2012 /v/ of gaming is dead doom posting that I just don't care for anymore.

I actually agree with his points on gameplay, he’s a good reviewer when taking about gameplay loop and map design but he is very much a stereotypical 2017 4channer who never fucking moved on. For me, it's mostly these people's meltdown over the Angela redesign and them needing every video game character to look like a sexy anime bimbo.
God forbid that Angela could look frumpy and fucked up. It fits perfectly with the character and the abuse.
I want a lot more video game characters to look grounded and real (that includes ugly) instead of Hollywood super models.
