Hot take: Ethan Klein always had the propensity for humour. He's equally capable of making you root for him while also making you hate his guts. This is just the first time in literal years where Ethan Klein is 100% in the right. Ignoring all the other shit he did, past and present, this specific moment is 100% justified and it's not wrong to laugh with him.

I still maintain that the H3 halcyon days were between 2014 and 2017 when Ethan was still regularly making reaction videos, then pivoting into other forms of comedy after he moved from NYC to LA. Those videos, though more than a decade old at most, still hold up phenomenally well. Once the 2017 adpocalypse happened, he just pivoted into podcasting and stuck with it no matter how boring or painful it got to watch at some points. Ethan ain't always funny, but he's always had good senses of wit and timing. If an opportunity presents itself for him to take a jab at somebody without negative repercussions to his online clout, he will always take the jab at the person in question.

I lost my taste for the man's content when he pivoted full-tilt into progressive politics from 2020-onward. This also coincided his beef with Trisha Paytas, the rise and immolation of Frenemies, a second Keemstar feud, and his failed collaborations with Hasan Piker before 07OCT23. I never kept close tabs on whatever the fuck Ethan was doing until Ian dropped the Content Cop on H3 this past April. The best part about iDubbbz's failed Content Cop and eventual Content Deputy on Ethan is that it made this huge segment of people who fell out of touch with H3 come back and pay attention to him. This is with the added effect of witnessing just how far iDubbbz fell from his halcyon days; Anisa's histrionics alone can't explain the radical shift that happened in his life since 2020.

someone mentioned several pages ago that Ian might be a narcissist and I have been wondering about that. Jada Pinkett smith has also claimed Will smith is a narcissist, hasn't she? And both Jada and Anisa seem to get some sort of glee from humiliating their men. I don't know if I believe Ian (or Will) is a narcissist but I was entertaining the idea a bit.

While many have this idea of a boisterous man that is full of himself, narcissists can also be extremely outwardly pathetic and constantly put on the image of being subservient to their women and constantly feel the need to share how much they do for them. If you're someone like Ian who believes in this male feminist groveling white man bullshit, it probably feeds into his self importance to grovel for Anisa and let her look like she's in complete control. Something common with a lot of these white guilt faggots is that they are fine with the humiliation so long as it makes them ONE OF THE GOOD ONES. Which right now, in the internet fame crowd, that is a form of power and authority. Even if they pretend otherwise. It is a form of narrative control.

None of this is to say Anisa (or Jada) are in any way absolved of any blame. Women who get some sort of enjoyment out of belittling their partner, yet can't handle criticism directed at them, are massive red flags. And you know, it takes a certain type of person to be attracted to awful people. All of these clips are just wretched, but this one was like pulling teeth. I'm no fan of H3 whatsoever and can't understand how anyone regularly tunes into 1+ hour podcasts of a bunch of autists spamming sound clips and discussing literal-who LA streamer gossip, but Ethan objectively has more energy and charisma in his presentation than these two retards do combined. Every joke Ian attempts just goes over like a fart in a bath, he has zero confidence or presence, and Anisa tries so hard to be involved and centered that she's just grating and obnoxious.
