I mostly reject the whole "generation" thing as some Reddit bullshit to make people feel quirky and unique. People are born every second and I think it's stupid to arbitrarily chop them up into cute little marketable divisions. Anything good we have is because of sacrifices made by those who came before us. We can learn something from everyone.
That being said, if I buy into the manufactured archetypes ...
I really fucking hate Millennials. They take every opportunity to shit all over Boomers (and now us, frequently) and yet buy into long-gone historical realities, preaching that a degree and an office job is some magical path to a perfect life, relationship, kids, house, cars, vacations, etc. Then they act aggrieved when they're drowning in debt, unhappy, and unhealthy, yet they won't change anything. They take out their misery on everyone else with their insufferable, milquetoast liberal politics, Instagram addiction, leased Hyundais, and snotty attitudes -- all with a carefully cultivated corporate email persona. They'll never buck up and try to fix their lives, rather fixating on things they can't control. They screech on Reddit, sass their fellow cubicle cucks, and abort their children, their every life decision an intentional "fuck you mom/dad" while still being willing slaves to the system.
They act like things were supposed to be perfect. "I'm so tired of living through historical events." Like bitch, "historical events" happen all the time. I think we live in a pretty peaceful time compared to the World Wars, or even the Cold War. Yes, times have changed. We don't get the roaring economies of the Silents, Boomers, or early Millennials. We get inflated currency, sky-high interest rates, insane regulations, and all but our very oxygen taxed to death. They may acknowledge that a basket weaving degree and a cubicle cuck position won't cut it, but they won't even try to fix it.
Imo I hate the stereotypical millennial than the stereotypical boomer. It does make me happy as an older Zoomer (1998 ) to see the younger Zoomers born post 2000 reject the idea of college and go for trades/entrepreneur. Student debt is still a massive problem but at least it seems we aren't all following the lemmings in front of us off the cliff.
W take. Try trade school. Try starting a business. Try not pissing off your parents with divisive moral grandstanding over issues that don't affect you. Try not trading your hometown for the shiny suburbs. Try genuinely liking someone instead of first-date-fucking the most Instagrammable person within a half-mile radius of your $2,600/month apartment. Try at least talking to God even if you're skeptical. You always have the choice to read the room and not make retard-tier decisions.
NOBODY EVER SAID LIFE WOULD BE EASY. Give thanks for the good, focus on what you can fix, ignore the rest!!!
