The conflict between Israel and Palestine started basically as soon as Israel became a thing 77 years ago. Almost eight decades of history that nobody gives a shit about anymore. I watched the whole thing. My take away is that Ethan is a mentally ill manchild that does need to log the fuck off and stop making a spectacle of himself, but Ian is the last person on earth that has any business telling him this.
Involving Hasan was a mistake, makes it look like he is just clout chasing. You can't say "I'm doing this for your own good Ethan" while taunting him by palling around with the guy he's having a mental breakdown over. Glossing over the CPS thing is just cowardly.
No amount of therapy speak will shake off the fact that he just drove a knife into the back of the one guy who defended him for years, even at cost to himself, just to clout chase a guy who wouldn't piss him out if he was on fire.
