Nice to see Piastri clawing back some points over no-rizz. Norris came back this year seeming much stronger and ready for a WDC campaign but the underperformances compared to Piastri seem to be sending him back to weakmind territory. Piastri started the season as his own worst enemy and he's now got to bank on beating Lando on pace to avoid the eternal no.2 driver team orders.
The Red Bull pit fuckups were unbelievable. They looked like clowns. and that car seems to be an absolute tractor. Word is they have some big upgrades for this weekend aimed at making the overall package more stable, which might lead to some better results. I'm rooting for Max and Yuki so here's hoping for the best. I was happy with Yuki's performance overall especially when compared to Max, at least he was in the points.
Lawson failing to impress now he's back in the VCARB. Who knows if he'll ever regain confidence.
Solid, if not overly quick, performance from the ferraris. Here's hoping they can get some extra pace from the car as Hamilton seems up to grips now. I wanted a bunch of ruthless fighting between 2 very quick ferraris, á la Leclerc and Vettel, but its not materialising yet.
I think people shitting on Aston have forgotten we're going to see the new regulations next year, and they have all their resources (and Newey) dedicated to the 2026 car. Likewise my worry for teams like Williams and Haas seeming to show good performance is that they're trying to get some cheeky end of regulations points in while faster teams are putting resources to future development. I expect any mid-low team that does uncharacteristically well this year to suffer in 2026. I hope I'm wrong because I like Haas and their low-cost approach to running an F1 team, even if it doesn't particularly lead to results. Bearman I think is showing good form again and looks probably to be best of the rookies, when car advantage is taken out. It's been a toss-up between him and Antonelli so far but still the overall crop of rookies isn't mega impressive, 3 races in.
