It's not "whitewashing" when Danny Rand was always white. Anyone can learn martial arts. It's not like only Asians can practice it. Hell the Chinese didn't even "invent" martial arts. Many of their styles originated in India and if you look even further, martial arts originated in Africa so really, any human can learn it as it's a part of all of human culture, not just one section of the world.

I wish Regressive's would just die out already.
Every culture has martial arts - even the cracka-ass cracka ones, you know. You seem to be guilty of the same stereotyping.

sometimes I really wish I had a bunch of pictures of baseball players from behind (no homo), especially in Red Sox uniforms.

then again you can't see the name on the back of the jersey from that angle.

It's interesting comparing Wu's congressional antics to Kathryn Allen who Wu unsuccessfully tried to get attention from a couple of days ago. Allen talks in a straightforward fashion about her personal history, she doesn't exactly come across as a glittering star of the medical field, but she's open and honest and conveys the impression of someone who has a solid career in a taxing field. She has a finite list of policies she feels are important to the voters in her district and her stances on those issues. Crucially, none of these involve Dr. Evil's secret moonbase.

Wu on the other hand has severe difficulties communicating anything about her professional background beyond "I'M A SOFTWARE ENGINEER!" because it's all lies. She flits from topic to topic, declaring what she's going to do without any deep understanding of the issues with statements amounting to "I'm against all those things that everyone hates." I wonder if she really thinks that people aren't going to notice that she's evasive about who she is and ineffectual on concrete ideas to benefit her potential constituents.

This whole thing run has the Wu stink all over it, she's completely unable to see past the surface of things to actually substance of what the role of politician requires. This is going to be a failure more monumental than even R60 was. Do US elections have returning officers who announce vote tallies? Because I really want a video of the guy announcing Wu's 100 odd votes.

Way to flip flop on major issues John, weren't you just saying that American exploitation of space means running the risk of global annihilation???

Eh, it's not a flip-flop. His (ludicrous) position was that private exploration of space could lead to militarization (...somehow...I guess he thinks all those wicked megacorporations with private armies from his precious video games are about to become a reality) (beware the Microsoft Assassination Squad, or Amazon's Amazons!). He's just pimping NASA being at the forefront of space exploration, despite the last decade or so showing that privatization of space exploration is probably the best way to go if we want to go beyond orbiters and one aging, cramped space station we can't even get to on our own.

How long until he realizes he has no say in how much NASA's budget is?

I don't know which committee handles NASA, but I'm sure they'd love to give John a seat, he being such an obvious space cadet.

wtf is Wu's obsession with tone policing men who interact with her?

Every single thing Wu is says is condescending and spoken from a place of (imagined) authority. She has never once, as far as I know, prefaced one of her brain shits with "In my opinion". She constantly speaks as if her opinions are etched in stone and not up for debate. The hypocrisy is stunning .

All the evidence suggests that it's not just with randos on the internet either. She's just a seriously unpleasant person all around. Almost everyone she interacts with comes away with a negative opinion of her. Just look at how quickly she got thrown out of the sisterhood of gamergate "victims" or the way none of her previous employees have any desire to interact with her now she isn't signing their paycheques.

I think he gets off on baiting men into 'mansplaining' to him then reprimanding them.

See how often he emasculates Frank.

I'm not saying John's burning hatred of men is the only reason he had his dick cut off, but it certainly was a factor.

because male socialization doesn't magically go away when you put on a dress.

I've heard good ideas about how to fix some of these issue but none that didn't come with pitfalls, the closest I've ever heard to something that sounded right was a gov't imposed cap on how much can be spent in a campaign at all. But lowering pay? There's no way they won't then spend more time out getting paid elsewhere.

John wants only rich people to be able to run for office. He is pretty much a Trump supporter.
