She would have gotten nothing. The only trust she is on the books of is the one that owns the house they currently live in.
They would have had split custody. There is no way a court would take away the Kids from Nick right now after he took the hit to get her felony charge dismissed.
They likely both tested positive for drugs, so in the eyes of a family court judge they are about the same, with the difference that Nick actually has income through the trust (that he is only a beneficiary of) and Kayla has nothing.
The big trust only pays out to Nick, he does not own it and Kayla has no resource claiming anything of said trust. If she is lucky she can claim a share of the payouts to get minimal support, but Nick could just have the payouts reduced so he is left with the minimum the state cannot touch.
I wish there was a way for Kayla to do this and win, because Nick has to suffer, but right now she can't. Maybe if he eats another felony with the hacking charge.
