A lot of them are in Ireland because of low tax rates.
The EU forcing Ireland to raise taxes on Apple, in spite of the Irish government and Apple having negotiated a deal directly, was a disgusting case of overreach and the absolute disrespect of sovereignty of EU member states was laid fully bare there.

There is a massive meltdown going on in the far right at the moment, particularly on /pol/, as they realize they've been in an echo chamber of their own, and that the world does not see jews the way they do. And alliances based on nothing but common hatred don't last.

well I don't know about the *world* but I also don't care about the world, I care about America

it's not just that your average normie MAGA doesn't hate Jews, it's much bigger than that. It's that, with the single exception that some black people really hate white people, Americans don't do ethnic hatred.

it's impossible for us. we don't have a strong enough collective identity and we don't have a sense of history. you cannot make people care enough to hate anybody. you cannot people identify with a group enough to make them see others as members of groups and not as individuals.

does this make us vulnerable to the machinations of people who *do* act collectively? kind of. I mean jeets not jews here. kind of, but I think the strength of american individualism wins out in the end. hating just isn't that fun.

100 years ago there'd be a weird kid who could take apart a clock and put it back together after explaining every part in impassioned detail; they'd say he's weird but got a knack for gadgets and shunt him somewhere he could take apart bigger more important clocks for society's benefit.

Today little Jimmy the clock tinkerer is diagnosed with superautism and is given meds to sedate him because teacher and Mommy and Daddy don't want to deal with it.
Exactly.

There were still fucked situations, lobotomies being a great example of this, but I think the situation is worse now because parents have so many more ways to tune in and drop out. I cannot fucking tell you the amount of parents I see who complain about their kids being mentally ill and unmanageable, but the real problem is the parents are alcoholics who spend all their time binging shows and clicking online while the kids have nothing but unstructured time.

Only someone who doesn't know about how much the EU hates the tech industry would say that. Tech companies are thinking about closing down their European offices and moving employees to the US due to the EU randomly fining companies billions of dollars for the crime of being non-European.

No American company would ever even think of moving there. All the European tech startups move to the US at the first opportunity (Spotify, Skype, Minecraft, etc.).
The government should tax labor performed by overseas employees who are non-citizens. Hell, tax any labor performed by non-citizens to match fair rates for citizens and use the money to pay for unemployment insurance and other benefits for citizens.

Otherwise, we risk moving manufacturing here but losing white collar jobs. But it would make it unprofitable to employ illegals as well, and take most of the sting out of H1B programs.

I hate to say this as someone from the south but it unironically is because we imported niggerslaves from the start. Any unified cultural identity is impossible if you have cultures so vastly different even if one is a slave class

You know Indians handle our pharma now, right? It's literally only a matter of time before we discover some vital medicine has been replaced with not even distilled water and cow urine. "Is very good indian home remedy saar, you will enjoy verymuch. Insulin? No no, spirit of bull will cure your weak American genes, make you as strong as mighty Indian heroes of legend saaar"

I noticed in my local big box store they had Indian "mouthwash" which was just a bunch of random oils designed to "drive out bad bacteria so good bacteria could come into the body." It's just a matter of time before that shit happens to our outsourced pharma.
They handle our pharmacy with precursors from China, too. But they didn’t put melamine in baby formula

Office guys are super pissed because the h1b shit, I get it. Chinese are worse

The rise in autism is due to continual broadening of the definition of "autism" in the DSM, combined with expansion of benefits for anyone that can get diagnosed with a disability.

If RFK and the rest don't call that out then nothing will actually get fixed.
this is a slowly growing thought pattern within psychiatry. it started with some fringe rumblings, surprisingly within the PRN community first, and then it began to spread outward. it's still the minority opinion but it's not unheard of for psychiatrists and therapists to suggest autism has been overdiagnosed in the last 10 years.

Remember when the FDA recalled and then banned Ranitidine/Zantac? Not sure we ever got the true cause, but it's either:

1. Quality control and testing was non-existent, so they made Zantac with contaminated/unreacted chemical stock

2. Quality control was OK, but shipping Zantac out of India on unrefrigerated containers meant the Zantac was allowed to degrade in the heat during their 100F+ summers.

I used to take a lot of Zantac so if I get some kind of GI cancer, at least I know who to blame.

we HAVE a unified cultural identity even though you guys are outliers

it's very obvious when you spend time outside the US.

our unified cultural identity however is based on individualism, live and let live, and making money

that is contrary to the development of ethnic hatred.

yeah but the other angle here is that normal american family and schooling practices are going to induce autistic/adhd type shit in a large percentage of kids

kids need more sleep, they need to be allowed to start academics later, they need more time outside, and they need more time in mixed-age groups, much much more than is currently the situation

Pentagon jannies on suicide watch.

April 10 (Reuters) - U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered the termination of IT services contracts, totally valued at $5.1 billion, with companies such as Accenture and Deloitte, a memo showed on Thursday.

The pacts "represent non-essential spending on third party consultants" for services Pentagon employees can peform, Hegseth said in the April 10 memo released by the Pentagon.

"These terminations represent $5.1 billion in wasteful spending ... and nearly $4 billion in estimated savings," Hegseth added.

I met someone online who had a real rough childhood (raped by his brother :( ) and was diagnosed with autism for a while. Later on though, he was rediagnosed as not having autism, but having near-crippling ADHD.

How do we know general autism isn't some kind of deep survival instinct, such as a battered wife becoming passive and quiet? Nature plays into it, sometimes brains get wired wrong, but nurture builds up the expectation of what the world is in reality, so if you grew up with more-or-less solitary confinement your expectation and preparedness for the world is going to be totally fucked and will take a lot of work to correct or even build up a healthy coping mechanism.

You’ve gone off the rails. Get back to me when the Indians poison literal hundreds of thousands of American babies because they put melamine in baby formula to fake protein content and then snuck it in through third parties

I shall now sudoku from double post associated shame
Jeets will rise in absolute fury if they did shit like that and they found out.

There are limits to jeets' shenanigans and usually vain, dumb, and selfish.

But chinks, its near diabolical....and they won't do anything about it. They know they are being poisoned but zero protest or outrage.

iirc Zantac was seriously black label shit they managed to talk to the FDA into approving it for hot wings

Thanks for watching it. I think her content is high quality

@Celebrate Nite the point there is she’s giving a status update in a televised cabinet meeting saying it’s being investigated, so hey, at least it’s not dead

Sidney Powell redemption arc?
iirc Powell went way deep into the crazy "the army has the Dominion servers" territory, then flipped to the feds for a lighter sentence?

I think the blue line meme broke her brain and then she came back off her manic episode

She had a flawless career as a prosecutor before that
