Good yes, please, post in here. Folks keep treating the thread like a chat room it is mind boggling how y'all could produce 1300 pages of nothing. When a thread usually moves that quickly there's actually news to read in it, not in that thread, not anymore at least.

the reporting function should be disabled tbh. it's replaced sticker whining DMs as the go to way to make tranny jannies including the head one sperg out regardless of all reason. enough people smash that report button and anything sofa king we todd ed is possible, especially when they can bang their heads on their keyboards about how on topic sperging is awkshoolly off topic and it makes their clittys leak

We have too few mods on here, is my actual suspicion.
I think it has to do with user influx and thread speed when shit like that almost preemptively happens. I hope I'm wrong and the farms will stay stronk.

Isn't that one the Highlight button is for though? On the rare times I hop into active current event forums (elections etc), I immediately give up the idea of catching up and just "Next Highlight" my way through.

For that matter, on those 1000+ page threads that are impossible for anyone to catch up on, I wonder if a purge of everything but Highlights would be appropriate in some cases. Probably against the "archive everything" spirit of KF, but there might be some cases where distilling a 1500 page thread down to 50 pages of Highlights provides more value...

Or just have a "highlights only" button and preserve the archive as well as have a convenient way to look at info considered important. Unfortunately such a thing would require Xenforo to not be a piece of shit

Yeah, it would be convenient to be able to collapse it down to a thread of just Highlight posts. I'll keep some of the big threads up and "Next" my way through them, just a bit more tedious. And if I ever close them I have to remember I'm on page 1896 or whatever.
 
I hate the russo/ukrop spergs and the more I interact with them the more I wish Generalplan OST had finished them off.

iToddler apps have mindraped the average internet person into treating everything like a comment section or chatroom. There are only a handful of threads on here where I don't have to use the highlights feature to sort out needless and unwarranted personal commentary on the topic.
People don't often experience an online environment where a higher quality of posts is expected so when an influx of newfags join a place like KF they bring their bad habits with them.

US Politics General should be it's own subforum between Mass Debate and Happenings. That would make it easier to mod as each aspect of discussion would have its own thread

KF will remember for you, just click on the link to the thread and it'll go right back to where you were; worst case you have to click back a page to not miss some posts. Also highlights are mostly autogenerated from reaction score, half the time they're just particularly poignant shitposts.
