I don't even understand why anyone is mad. Zelensky had a bad meeting with Trump, of course everyone is discussing what's going to happen with Ukraine.

This particular topic turns a segment of users into angry howler monkeys who will just rant and rave at each other ad nauseum and derail threads into incoherent babble.
There is a reason mods had to make 2 separate hugbox threads for either side to contain the autism and prevent it from taking over the entire subforum.

I understand people sperg about the topic but I don't blame them, it's a glaring example of fourth generation warfare. The internet is so pozzed and astroturfed (by both sides, pro-Ukraine Americans and Russia) that people inevitably end up getting funneled into the few spaces that don't actively censor discussion on behalf of one side. This place became one of those spaces (for better or worse) in the past for other topics of discussion.

It's funny to me because some random user made a thread I think yesterday complaining about (amongst otherwise unfocused ramblings) USPG2 talking too much about Ukraine, and Null came in and told him he was a retard if he thought it wouldn't be discussed after the president met with Zelensky. But it was getting a bit out of hand, one person made a "please give me an unbiased rundown of the meeting" post, and from then on every page seemed to have at least one wall of text response, none of them referencing each other. Whatever, I'm sure Useful Mistake has ptsd from moderating three unsplit iterations of the Russia-Ukraine thread. It is funny though that he has a post from the thread in a front page feature, and then less than 24 hours later he locks it.
