It's hard to figure Jimmy out because he's always been a sexual chameleon. I've said before that I've often gotten the impression that Jimmy doesn't really like being who he is and wants to be a normal, functional human being. His probably is that it both requires him to put in work that he doesn't want to put in and also would require him to confront things he doesn't want to because he is a giant coward. His jokes about him getting molested as a kid are to me a great example of this: he is making jokes to cope with the fact that he was the victim of sexual abuse as a kid and said sexual abuse shaped him into having some of these issues he has today.
