While I have no doubt that Milo has, is and will be a retard, I think this a poor example to give.
Milo's popular videos on Hancock shift this source to being a hostile one.
Since Hancock is a retard himself - seemingly attacking anyone who publicly disagrees with his theory - I wouldn't trust anything written by him or his butt buddies.

It's the internet past time of making fun of people who deviate from orthodox positions. He gets a lot of views and a big ego over it. It's extremely low hanging fruit because you never have to actually engage with what they say, just point your thumb and go "get a load of this guy".

True, I think it must be an result of Milo's transition from focusing on pure alt-history theories to what he's doing now. It just doesn't translate well and he ends up looking like a retard.

It reminds me of the atheist vs Christian debates YouTube used to have back around 2008-10. Everyone got a superiority complex and then some new Christian channel would come along, stir the pot, and all the atheists would circle the wagons and start huffing each others farts.
 
Not sure if it "counts" for this thread, but I've been listening to a lot of history lectures recently and Dr. Roy Casagranda is probably the most insufferable lecturer I've come across. I usually don't mind if someone is somewhat to the left, but this guy is the definition of a "flaming liberal." He constantly interrupts the flow of his talks to go on a tangent about racism or someshit. I've tried getting through two of his talks on the origins of WWII and had to turn it off each time.

This is the only infrastructure Youtuber who doesn’t feel like he’s ramming biased politics down my throat. And when I say that he is clearly conservative leaning (he knocks Tim Walz in this video) but it’s not like you’re listening to some DailyWire shit.
Really comfy channel, just talks about American cities. Doesn’t make flamebait content. Really enjoy his work.

The comments are really entertaining, Some of them bring up interesting points and then they suddenly turn into a stereotypical bughiver or "Diversity is our strength" post with some people saying bye and unsubbing in-between
I'll definitely have to watch this later when I'm more energized, though what mainly convinces me to watch is his channels name which is a play on the idea of a persons third place.

This is a really good starting point for a potential thread.
He's not quite there yet but he's been recently posting political sperging completely unrelated to archaeology.
Saying shit like "If you ever wondered what you would do in Nazi Germany, its exactly what you're doing right now."

So I'd predict that within the year he'll be in some sort of massive drama.

Especially assuming that all morally righteous people would immediately form a Rebel Alliance to take down Lord Voldemort and his Handmaid's Tale Order. They wank so hard believing that only good people resist evil and not that 99% of the population would duck their heads and try and make it through whatever regime is in charge. I'm sure a majority of Russian peasants weren't diehard Communists, just as I am sure a majority of Germans weren't diehard Nazis.

Boiling down this sort of scenario to good and bad destroys all nuance to human psychology and authoritarian regimes. Going ahead and saying anyone pointing out these nuances is a closet Nazi/Whatever is just fucking retarded. The biggest consequence of WW2 in the long run has to be the foundation of this good/bad dichotomy that allows no actual discourse.
