They've nailed down the formula, and it's a good one, they should just keep doing what they're doing. The eventual Vietnam series should be interesting too, always down for more Cold War content.

And keep that Spartakus wanker far from the series.
 
That idea, of the Confederates developing White slavery, sparks my interest. I might, and if the AlternateHistory.com people were more accommodating, would, like, to write an alternate history story wherein some semi-apocalyptic catastrophe strikes the North during the Civil War and the Confederates therefore win. It is probably some sort of strange plague bacteria that only multiplies and spreads in below-freezing temperatures. Whatever the disease is, it is limited to colder climes and therefore plunges Northern society into a new dark age, varying from rough feudalism to savagery.

The result of this is to vindicate and greatly strengthen preexisting theories dividing, classifying, and ranking the “White” races, the “traditionless and homeless”, “Celtic” Northern and Appalachian races being judged inferior to the Southern “Norman” race on the grounds of their descent into barbarism. This leads to George Fitzhugh’s proposition of White slavery being adopted, and certain of the “Lesser White Races” enslaved.

Eventually Southern slavery develops into a system similar to the Islamic one, where Whites are kidnapped in raids and enslaved to serve as house slaves and concubines, with the ability for them or their children to win their freedom and assimilate into their conqueror’s society, while the blacks are more oppressed to work as menial labor.

I don’t even know than that’s more implausible than the development of radicalized chattel slavery in the Virginia colony; as late as their 1705 indentured servant and slave law, though there’s some racism in there, they seem to have been defining slaves more as barbarous heathens than according to race as we understand it now.

Where this story ends, I don’t quite know yet, but I find the idea of quasi-medieval Islamic Confederates exploring a 19th century post apocalypse very compelling. (Probably the date is more turn of the century, after a later Civil War that gave the South more chance to radicalize). I have visions of Southrons in the ruins of London, circa 1940, trading with barbarians for captured slaves like the Vikings and Arabs did a millennia before.

I should clarify that Fitzhugh was considered an oddity by even the most ardent Fire Eaters (he was effectively Dixie's Carlyle during the antebellum period, and his arguments weren't particularly racial) but that sounds like a fascinating scenario regardless.
 
The Brits might do that if they realize what’s happening in time and evacuate to their southern colonies in India, Jamaica, Guyana, Hong Kong, Australia, etc. as per The Peshawar Lancers, and even if they don’t they’ve still got some remnants of their army and naval power hanging on there, plus their settlers. But they don’t evacuate, do they have the industrial capability to keep warships going, or to build and arm new ones? They could probably do it eventually, but will the Southrons get there first?
In answer to that second point, the White slavery would be less racial, and this would be a Civil War taking place after 20 or more years of Southern and Northern radicalization. The abolition movement would only become more vehement and widespread, and the Southern reaction might well be, as it became with the Mexicans: ”pure White people do not freely and equally associate with Negroes, therefore the Northerners are not pure White people, Q.E.D.“ There might be a much greater split between Southern congregations and the rest of the world’s Christianity on the basis of slavery, thereby providing a religious angle.
I agree that it isn’t particularly likely for actual White slavery to develop regardless; probably there would be some kind of ambiguous indentured servitude arrangement first, or else it would prevail, but: Lenin was an oddity in 1914, Hitler an oddity in 1920. War and disorder can provoke some peculiarly radical things.

Atun Shei is probably my favorite left-leaning youtuber. His videos are generally based in fact and cover unique topics. Him being comically wrong about stuff like protesters destroying non-Confederate monuments was hilarious and I am able to enjoy the content of people I consider weirdos. He is also able to avoid "Bread-tube speak" so I do not find his content insufferable despite being almost certain that he dresses up in Antifa garb and smashes stuff during protests.
