So one of two things happened. Either her brother cracked and went outside to address him, or John used that time to muster up the nerve and evaluate the house to find his best option to break his way in.

So at Fuentes, he was persistent, hoping for the easy shot. Hoping Nick would treat him like a Jewish old lady. And as that was not working he started checking other doors and probably scoping out if there are easy windows to get into or maybe an outdoor cellar opening.
