This killer is so retarded, maybe he didn't see the ring doorbell system, but he had a gun fully laid down and a gun on his hand for Nick all to see and he expected Nick to open the door?

I wonder what the killer's motives were though, he defo seemed prepared to kill Nick with the way he had the gun on his hand

Like it or not, Nick is now a little more vindicated in his upcoming assault suit. There's demonstrable proof people are visiting his home address with the intent to kill him (which might make his hasty pepper-spray of some jew appear less insane.) Maybe one of our three letter agencies threw their favorite informant a bone so he escapes hot water. Maybe Nick paid someone BTC to fake an assassination, and is now too dead to talk. Maybe the would-be killer wasn't satisfied with Nick's head and wanted revenge.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has released the name of the man suspected of killing three people in Mahomet Wednesday night before fleeing to Berwyn, where he was shot dead by police.

The Medical Examiner’s Office identified him as 24-year-old John R. Lyons of Westchester, Ill.


The investigations into both the Mahomet homicides and the shooting in Berwyn are ongoing.

The fact that he's got a Ring camera means he well knew ahead of time it was an old lady and yet decided to mace her.
 
Just to play devil's advocate: it's plausible the "yo nick" audio from the assailant was added to the video.

Very weird overall that he didn't shoot the door or shoot more and only say the name once after like a minute? Like he must have realized there was a ring doorbell system and he could be seen with a motorcycle helmet and 2 guns? Who would open the fucking door to that?
