He took a literal step down mentally at a certain point. Old Nick was an imperfect guy in his knowledge, but a much clearer thinking guy up through his major online trials. But then his brains went to mush and he operates at a sort of retard level. Its possible to theorize that the combination of booze and coke gave him brain damage. Or maybe just the effect of too much alcohol over time. We really will never know. But the guy who calls himself Nick today is nowhere near as able to think as lets say 2019 Nick was.

I think Nick was always a porn degenerate and some of us caught onto that early with his Drex conversations. But there was nothing to say that they guy would end up going crackhead swinger and career-implode in the way he did.

I can't speak for all of his fans, obviously, but I did tell this site back in late-2020 early-2021, bro. I saw the signs and tried to warn people. Nobody wanted to hear it at the time. I was cast as a "jilted lover" and other crap. I caught an enormous amount of shit for being critical of Nick. Over time, others began to become critical of Nick, but didn't fare much better. Some people even got threadbanned here for being critical of Nick. Thread was practically an enforced hugbox.

It took until late 2022 before that changed.

I'm not angry about it, but that's just the way it was. Now I'm pretty sure everybody is more or less on the same page. I look at it as "better late than never." Life is too fleeting the hold grudges, especially over Internet crap, so I don't.

There were a lot of noseguards in those days, but there were some of us who saw through the balldo. We just had to balance criticism with the positives there were at the time.

The warning signs were there, people just didn't want to see it.

He hid shit well from his audience. You had to talk to him on more of one-on-one level, like I did, to see the warning signs. Not everybody was doing that. I had a direct line because I was helping him with Weebwars on the Farms, and I caught glimpses of who he really was beginning in late 2020.

Over time he became less and less adept at hiding who he was as a person publicly, and the mask slipped more and more.

Now it's off completely. Now we're here.

I also think there was an undercurrent of people who felt criticism of Nick would hurt Vic. They really pinned their hopes on Nick and Ty saving Vic.

You can argue that's not a great excuse, and I would agree, but I think I find it in myself to feel a little sympathy for those that took that position. They didn't defend a bastard just for the sake of defending one.

Weebwars is over, and ended in disaster (sadly for Vic), so it's a non-issue now. He can't hide behind that anymore. A lot of old Weebwarriors are gone, and many others have turned against him too. There are only a very few holdouts left I have seen here, and they are mostly keeping their mouth's shut. It's basically a total reversal from where we were at 2-5 years ago.

To be honest, I don’t think this was ever the case. All of the attention around Nick’s streams has fuck all to do with Nick. He wasn’t shown in the Netflix documentary because he did well. He was shown in it because they were trying to illustrate how polarizing the trial was for the globe.
Nick was not the success. Kyle Rittenhouse and Johnny Depp were the success. Nick already had an infrastructure in place that none of the other lawyers did. That’s the only reason it was him instead of anyone else.
Nick never had a chance at mainstream success, and I truly believe the only reason he was given a contract by Rumble is because they took a play out of Mixer’s playbook and basically gave out contracts like candy in hopes that it would give them quick success. Same thing with Locals. Locals basically gives anyone a contract.
Nick was always destined to remain nobody, he just happened to be in the right place at the right time to get two generation defining cases back to back.

I STILL believe they thought they were getting a legal show, and pulled a bait and switch.

But your theory could be true too. I mean, they gave fucking Mersh a contract. Some of what Rumble did makes little sense.

I don't think Rumble is gonna last. It's nice they have a more permissive ToS, but their infrastructure is garbage and their business model is wanting.
