Aaron said the breakup with that Devin dude was a bad one. I think there was 2 years between then and STMS, something happened to her, either with that Devin guy or after. She used to look like a pretty cute country girl, I don't think she was a crackhead till she met Balldo, so it can't all be drugs. I think the drugs are a symptom not a cause. Junkies often have something they get high to avoid dealing with. People like April often hang their happiness on their relationships and have nothing else in their lives from which they derive a sense of joy or accomplishment. In the first flush of a new relationship, they're convinced that they've found their "soul mate" and are euphoric.

What happened to April doesn't have to be some big, life-changing event. It could simply be the thing by which she defines herself ending.

There's no indication that April has ever pursued anything to enrich her life absent male attention, other than perhaps hunting. Her life is more empty now than it was when she met Aaron. Then, she at least had a job.

I don't think her plan for fulfillment has ever been more complex than "find the right guy". She's struck out with one guy after another and had nothing else to fill her life during her 20s. Who wouldn't be miserable? It's not uncommon not to settle down with someone until their 30s, but it seems to have been April's only ambition. She doesn't even seem to have a friendship circle.

If she moves on from Nick, she'll look for someone else to rescue her and look even more dejected when that, too, ends.

A great post was made in the lawsuit thread, with excellent detail, quoted in part below. (You can click on the post to follow it over to the law sub forum to read & listen in full, for anyone who doesn’t know that. It needed a crosspost here ITT, though was too long to just import the whole thing.)

The gist is that Cuck was lying on Juju the Cow’s stream (about a week or two back) by misrepresenting a letter from the state discussing their opinion on audio or video requests that Hardin & Null made regarding Nicks court matters. Nick conveniently claimed on Juju’s show that the state wrote a letter attesting that his kids were never endangered or harmed, which is known to be total bullshit. The state really wrote a letter stating they have no position on Cuck’s trial or hearings, beyond the omnibus (which can’t be broadcast at all) from being broadcast, as they don’t expect the children to have to testify, & in that regard, there are no immediate victim protection concerns.

Nick tried to twist this matter discussing broadcasting of his proceedings, into being about the conveniently sealed child welfare case, into being a factor he claimed would aide in his child endangerment charge being dropped, due to (his lie) about the nature of this letter being supportive of him. Then he claimed the child endangerment charge was just thrown in to pressure him to plead guilty to the drug charge. He lies. The real letter is clear.
