So after stalking a few of threads on her like Lolita, deviantart , and Tumblr I noticed there wasn't any talk about the MMD community. Which is filled to the brim with lolcows/potentiol lolcows.

Is this where yandev got his models from? Lol

Mmd was mostly used for memes, people woukd, for example, combine an audio from a video and then make models of vocaloid or some anime look like theyre saying it.
Whenever an anime became popular you bet your ass thered be mmd videos of them dancing to whatever vocaloid song was 'in' at the time.
I never used the thing so im not totally sure but it didnt take much effort to make those dance covers. The dance motion(whats it called) would have already been written so all you needed to do was get the characters, bg, song, motion and mash it in the program.

Ofc, there are some really good videos. I personally really liked the music videos.
Id post some examples but its kinda late here :/

Yes I think he just used the models as a replacement holder.
He's not the only one that used MMD stuff for their games there are a bunch of other people.
They act so butthurt when they are called-out for breaking the rules

yes I know there are pretty good videos but they are drowned out by a bunch of "copy and paste " videos
 
You can make good videos with MMD

I really cringe at these fuckers, because holy shit if their community isn't filled with drama and salt.

Ya i was gonna say, is this just SFM for tards who can't afford to buy a Source engine game on steam? Or is there like a text-to-speech music component to it as well?
 
MMD is older and the community is a lot larger, afaik. Outside the TF2 fandom, I've only noticed bronies and Undertale spergs attracted to SFM.

Dunno if this is still the case, but I remember years ago MMD creators were known for being ridiculously stingy about how people used their assets. There was one Japanese guy in particular who repeatedly deleted and reposted his character models (which were pretty popular at the time) because he kept on getting mad at the fact that people outside Japan were using them.
