I think you've got it backwards. A guilty plea means there's no reason for it to come out. Null would have to convince the court that there's an overriding public interest in its release.So, from my understanding, if Nick pleads guilty (or no contest or whatever legal terms) then the bodycam footage becomes public.
Does that give April any incentive to take Null's offer of $6K to sell it today before he gets it for free? Is that offer even still on the table?
If it goes to trial, then it gets added to the public record as evidence and there's a much better chance we see it.
