Nah it's still got an eating area. It's like a much smaller version of the chic fil a near me that they built a few years ago with the same block building style. I think the idea though is that it prioritizes pickup/drive thru/ubereats shit though given how cramped it fucking looks.

Only place I've seen near me that's drive thru only is a place that's directly next to a non-drive thru only version of itself, and it's one of the fucking convenience store chains (which have their own visual style still thank god). It's the same kinda claustrophobic box as fast food places keep getting remodeled into but it's like painted dark brown and has no windows save for a few small ones. Never seen anyone use it I have no clue why the fuck it's even there.

Them making the buildings smaller is to discourage people from camping there all day using up the wifi. Or the old men who socialize all morning at the local McDonald’s or Tim Hortons.

That would be Yum Brands, who also own Pizza Hut, Long John Silvers, and A&W (the hamburger restaurant not the soda). The Yum company itself is/was a subsidiary of PepsiCo meaning the soda company also owned all of those major fast food chains.

It's 100% dystopian, but at least Yum's ownership of all these restaurants and their desire to mix and match them in the 2000's led to Das Racist's only hit single, "Combination Pizza Hut & Taco Bell".

The costs are passed onto the consumer which is why hole in the wall restaurants are now cheaper than a McDonald’s. So not only do these places look like soulless shit, it likely added a few bucks to your order.

I think a lot of this remodelling is done to maximise resale value for restaurant locations if/when a location closes. Also, standardizing the layout of each building extends to plumbing & electric, which makes the place easier to maintain by whatever contractors McD's or other business keep on retainer.
Ironically making shit as lean as possible and maximizing resale value led to increased cost to consumer (at least in the short term) so not sure if the strategy is any good.
If anything it'll minimize the cost of doing business (unless inflation lmfao) and give restaurants flexibility with pricing in the future when all these renovations are paid off.
The side effect unfortunately is the demoralising effect everyone notices intuitively.

OMG women were giggling about a plush toy of an uterus, that isn't even sexual? That's basically exactly the same as men who watch sex trafficked underaged women on PornHub and look up videos of women who were raped! Women are totally equally degenerate! I thought the zoosadist leaks were bad but the thought of a group of woman hooting about a uterus plushie really makes me want to vomit at the sheer and utter degeneracy on display.

My nan has a ton of stuff with golliwogs on (was many things with Roundtrees jams back in her day where you would send off tokens to get them). Spoons, little figures, quite a few of the plush dolls. At least the spoons are useful, since they're just spoons, but the other stuff is just going to be such a pain to try and get rid of once she's gone.
The dolls kind of freaked me out as a kid too, I remember sleeping over one night, then waking up in that half-asleep state and all I could see from the corner of my room was this white smile and massive eyes. Almost shit myself.
My grandad on the other hand was in the Merchant Navy, so the stuff he brought back from ports all over the world were far more interesting. My favourites are a serving tray with many interesting and brightly coloured butterflies pinned inside it, and one of those Japanese dolls inside a glass case, I think its of a warrior monk.
 
Speaking of that block building style, I swear every new apartment is being built with this fast food chain style too. You can be in a nice neighborhood with beautiful homes and then one of these eyesores is put in the middle of it. I consider these kinds of apartments along with newer build homes to be peak consoom in a different way--they're designed for quick profit and very little longevity. Many have issues after a few years, like things falling apart or like in Aurora Colorado, exploding a few years after being built.

Didn't I already consneed that men are more degenerate than women? I'm just saying that women also like their fair share of smut. I agree, there is nothing sexual about the plush. It's the same with guys and dick jokes.
I was originally commenting on how ironic it all is, because usually it's the men being portrayed as the ones that go "woah guys haha that's a vagina teehee look a boob" but how, in my experience at the register, the women are by and far the ones who go "woah guys haha that's a vagina teehee look a boob." Just a fun observation I make in my workday. The staff laughs about how often the women point the fart books and uteri out to the men. There is no malice lol.

Everything you said about pornhub and the zoosadists is correct. It's disgusting and everyone should get the bullet.

I've gotten in fights with people who don't live in america or just don't live near me about this. I try telling them we have all these old abandoned/vacant warehouse lots or empty spaces that just never get used while the last bits of nature keep getting bulldozed for these "affordable housing" LUXURY APARTMENTS THAT ARE NOT AFFORDABLE AND AS A RESULT STAY BASICALLY FUCKING EMPTY SAVE FOR A FEW PEOPLE AND JUST TAKE UP SPACE BUT NO THEY KEEP BUILDING MORE OF THE FUCKING THINGS. Ever since corona hit this shit's been going into overdrive. Every time I bring this shit up it gets framed like I don't want people to have a place to live when No! I want them to have a place to live! We have land being left to rot unused by fucking real estate fuckers, and yet the government seems to only use imminent domain to fuck with people trying to live in a fucking house or outside an urban sprawl hellscape. There are rotting long dead Kmarts, SEARS, and other shit all over the place! Do they get taken and used for these fucking things? No!
Fuck this shit man, fuck this shit. This issue isn't even locked to the state I live in which makes it more insane that people try spinning shit like I don't want people to have places to live.

There have been moments where a person like myself have questioned that the latest brands of consumerism is making more and more architecture look and act stale and built with a lack of imagination and care into these kinds of apartments.

Though, the concerning part is now that is now being considered livable and fancy for the sake of showing how art and design has tremendously downgraded over the years.

Four-over-one or five-over-one, basically the only thing getting constructed nowadays because it's profitable. I don't know about them exploding, but the fact that they're wood framed instead of steel framed (which is what makes them profitable) makes them potentially much less safe from a fire safety perspective.
 
Yeah if the cartoon you voice is famous, I would at least expect you to have a shrine on your house if I come over to visit. A bit like going to the lady who voices pikachu and finding out she has this soulless minimalist style going without a single toy or plush.
