Not to sound like a boomer but I think thats the problen with my generation, Gen Z.
None of them can handle bluntness. They can't handle non-cushioned language and matter-of-fact attitudes. Nor can they handle tough love.

When you''re a kid, you think its unfair and cruel for someone to be so straightforward, but as you get older you become grateful for their approach because it was just what you needed to hear.
This is where proper male influence shines through. Mothers will appeal to emotion, but proper fathers (male authority figures in general) end up being matter-of-fact about the situation.

I think whats most sad and pathetic is seeing all the men in my generation be so openly emasculated, acting emotionally similar to women minus the cattyness that would make them appear as a fag. Its the generation of soyboys, man. For lack of a better descriptor.

This purposeful isolation is so sad, but in a "what the fuck did you expect, dumbass?" way. Of course, you're not going to get along with men as a man because you're not a man and even if they include you they're not going to treat you like they'd treat each other. Women and men can socialize and be friends. The vibe will be it's own thing of course, but if you happen to have interests mostly men are into there is nothing necessarily stopping you from getting into it too, just be aware that sometimes the way guys socialize can come across as blunt/rude to women and you sort of have to learn to get along with that. Even then, not all guys are into typically manly man activities, there are lots of other hobbies guys and girls do that aren't poker nights or knitting circles. FFS, it's like these people get a special sort of lobotomy that's made them forget the last 50 years of loosening gender roles and such. Now, she's also cut herself off from other women and the special sort of camaraderie you get in same sex spaces. Turn back before it's too late pooner.

A while back my pharmacist saw my deadname on my profile and accidentially called it out, he corrected and deleted my deadname from the system so only my preferred name shows up now. There was a crowd of people behind me, so as he hands over the pills he apologized, in equal tone and volume as when he called my deadname and lied saying it's been a long day and he didn't mean to call out -his own- name. I quietly told him it was fine and he didn't need to do that for my sake.

His response: "No, it's my name now."

I went to the pharmacist yesterday, his nametag is my deadname. He informed me he's immigrating and in the process he's changed his first name to my deadname to have an English sounding name. That's why he's now able to get a reprint of his nametag to be my deadname. And repeated, with the intense seriousness of someone who is going to die on this hill: "It's mine now. Not yours. I'm taking." His tone indicated that decision is final.

Bro literally deadnamed me once, and has committed to flat out stealing my deadname. It's his now. Legally. Officially. I over heard his co-workers call him by the name.

When I was in the ward, I was too scared of the men, and there were no trans people, so I "embraced" the F on my ID and completely ignored most of my roomates unless we had to discuss something in regards to the room, lol.

My last stay at a mental hospital, they put trans patients with their preferred gender, and I had a very scary male roommate that apparently was not told that his roommate would be trans and he became very aggressive and even called his family to have his dad call and ask for a new roommate for him. They wouldn’t do so at first and he would go on the phone every day making up lies (very loudly so I overheard) to his dad about me so that the dad would keep calling to ask them to move me. I was so distressed they finally did move me but it took a few weeks. Ugh.

I'm confused​

Okay so I'm 20 ftm pre T and I'm finaly starting to pass. I have a blue buzz cut snake bites nostril piercing and an eyebrow piercing ( i swear it's relevant ) I wear baggy clothes, mesenger bag, the usual. I've had multiple people on public transport stare and stuf but today when I got on bus I heard someone yelling "WTF IS THAT??" And pointig at me laughing to their friends. The entire ride I could hear them laughing and calling dude and shit. I had headphones so I just ignored them. I told my mom and she said that at least they didn't misgender me and then misgendered me herself. Now I just don't know anything, should I be glad that some assholes didn't misgender me while laughing at me or should I be pissed my mom did?? Am I over-reacting??

I'm gonna have a trans roomie​

So I'm leaving in two weeks for a two month stay at a mental facility, they told me they will have to put me in a room with a woman because of safety reasons. I understand that and even tho it made me dysphoric I went along with it for my own safety. Today the doctor called telling me there is going to be another trans patient at the facility and they can room us together. So we are going to make our own mens ward inside of womens ward. Yay I'm so happy. I was terrified of staying with some stranger that would not understand, but now I'm filled with exitment.
