Surprised they had to extrapolate to that extent. Mormons are all about having babies and traditional gender roles. Adoption is not frowned upon, per-say, at least not doctrinally. But fertility is highly prized in Mormon circles because you're birthing out future tithers and bringing souls over from the other side. Like, sure, definitely they encourage good Mormons who are infertile to adopt but this is a religion where taking birth control is like genocide. To have your reproductive system voluntarily scrambled and rendered useless? Literal Hitler.

Also, their temple rituals involve some pretty intimate moments of touch between temple worker and the Mormon receiving their blessings. I just legitimately shuddered thinking of some middle aged volunteer going in to anoint the "reproductive area" of what they thought was a woman and touching a dick.

Lol, also I hadn't really thought of this but, but they're genealogy experts, too (for the purpose of baptizing the dead) so they probably actually can keep Troons out of their official ranks with a quick in-church genealogy check.

Recently I bought an Instagram ad for my profile in order to boost views and get new followers. While it worked and I did get tons of new followers and also some really nice comments, I also received hate comments for the first time ever.

I'm 8 months into HRT and I usually assume I pass decently well. I get called my preferred pronouns like 85% of the time on the streets, by random people, my friends all respect my pronouns and so do people I met very recently, and my friend super reassured me that I do pass and explained to me the reasons why. I've been told I have a cute face, I've even been told I look like some very pretty cis girls in the comments of that ad.

But this ad, it shattered my self-esteem. I got comments like "that's a dude, right?", "is that a woman?", "you did a whole photo session and that's the best picture you could get? lmao", "what an ugly-ass", "nvm it's a (t-slur)".

And this was actually what I thought was a nice, professional, femme-looking picture of myself. I'm devastated and haven't been able to stop thinking about it. I closed comments and the reaction to the ad has been mostly positive, with tons of people liking the picture and following me, but I still feel hurt and I don't know whether I can even convince myself that I pass anymore.

Totally based. That's an impressive line up of shocking LGBT intolerance. And it's always based to be first in resistance, or in the vanguard in battle. Mormons get a lot of shit for their quirks, but at least they're not giving in to gay marriage or sucking the girldick. And they're drawing a really firm (and admirable) line around their kids. I bet that was welcomed by the majority of their faithful too. They're very family oriented.

Looks like LDS membership numbers have been declining. Maybe doubling down on being hard core anti troon was a marketing move as more Christian churches go woke? If so, Godspeed, LDSs! Love the sinner, but don't affirm or tolerate the sin.

Yeah, since the dawn o time it was "cultural mores" that made men hunters, warriors, farmers, miners, steel workers, etc. Those had nutin' to do with their bigger, stronger, sexed bodies or their unavoidable roles and responsibilities in the furthering of the species. Like making sure that their families were fed, housed and protected.

Gender roles and behaviors (and social/political expectations of them) changed with tech and progress over the course of human history. During some phases, pretty dramatically, as human life got easier. With more options. Many growing pains and maladaptions with all that. Like troonism itself. From stick to shovel to horse drawn plow to tractor... to not having enough spoons to leave the house and using an app to get dinner delivered instead.

And now in the early 21st century young men think that gender identity is primary and immutable. And that genes can and do change if you take hormones, lop off your dick and put on a dress. They can be "reprogrammed"!

WTF are these kids being taught in school? I mean really. This is so alarming. Coom brained Idiocracy here we come.

Another word salad translation for this context is that they're acronyms; "fin" is "feminine in nature" and "min" is "masculine in nature." It's for specials who don't want to use the words man or woman to describe their gender of the week.

Can someone please explain to me why trannies and TRAs keep bringing up intersex people when trying argue that sex isn't binary?

Even when I steelman their position as hard as I can, it just boils down to "Some people are born with a vanishingly rare birth defect that causes them to develop a mixture of male and female genitalia, because their mothers smoked while they were pregnant with them. Ergo, biological sex is not binary and a man who puts on a dress and claims to be a woman is indeed a woman".

The conclusion doesn't fit the presented evidence whatsoever. Birth defects are a deviation from the expected norm- some people are born with extra/missing fingers or outright fused to their fucking twin, we don't treat them like a different gender/species/whatever. It is just understood that something went a bit awry during their gestation for whatever reason and they're a bit different as a result. Nothing wrong with that, it's not their fault, it's just strange that alone of all birth defects that can happen, intersex is held up as this totes normal and valid thing that shouldn't even be treated as a birth defect in the first place.

What's funny is the Wikipozzdia page for Intersex People features a photograph of a group of them, yet the overwhelming majority of them still comfortably fit within the sex binary and are clearly identifiable as either male or female. You would have no idea that 99% of those people had any unusual physical characteristics, were in not for the retarded "look, I'm special" T-shirts a couple of them are wearing.

1. Biological sex is always binary. Unless you are talking about isogametic fungi, but we call that "mating types" rather than sex. You can argue it is semantics, okay, but you are not a fungus and you cannot "socially construct" yourself to become one.
2. Biological sex is indeed sometimes mutable. But never in humans. You are not a clownfish.
