Like this video, Uncle Marvin?
Hmm... in that video, he was probably winded because he ran up the stairs or something. But yeah, that's pretty shifty behavior from him.

Like, I know which videos he's lying in because I've got additional info, so it's not really a level playing field. If you know ahead of time which videos he's lying in, it's easier to see patterns in his behavior.

Ahaha, I like him chimping out about the comments.
Chris was only half lying in his most recent video; he wanted money to pay a bill, but he probably wanted extra money to buy a toy.
I think the way he'd phrase it, would be that he'd give the specific number he needs for the bill, and then say he'd accept additional money beyond that value. He doesn't improvise very well, so he's less likely to lie unless he already intended to going into the video. What he'd do is say something like "yeah, we need $500 for da property tats (tax), but we can always accept more money to pay for da good food and stuff. thank you". The "good food" money would probably get funneled to toys.

He might lie, but it's less likely than him just asking for extra money.

I can't say the exact figure which would make him satisfied but I think that if he had somewhere like $5k or $10k per month he wouldn't be begging for more. He'd be able to pay his bills, mortgage, spend a lot on toys, games and still have more left to spend.

Money can change people so it's possible that if he indeed started receiving this sort of money he'd start spending most of it in whores, travel, collector's toys, expensive japanese dolls, etc - like when we hear those tales of people winning the lottery just to end up poor as shit again a couple of years later because they just spent it all away. In this case I'm sure we'd have videos of him saying "this month has been really hard and I need more $5k NOW NOW NOW". He is retarded, after all.

Chris is greedy. It's not about having enough money, it's all about getting more. Always more. Because he's special. The chosen one.

What monthly income amount would actually satisfy Chris?
I was thinking about this, and I don't think there's actually a number that can be given. If you think about it, both Barb and Bob worked, and I believe both Bob and Barb got retirement/pensions. While they were probably never going to be millionaires, the Chandlers probably should have been able to live fairly comfortably, but instead they appear to constantly struggle with their bills. Why? Because they waste their money. They live outside of their means, eat out constantly, and constantly waste their money on friviolities.

I've heard it said before that poverty is more about your attitude toward money than it is about how much you make. I don't know if that's generally true, but I think it definitely is in the case of the Chandlers. Look at Chris' room. Many people have commented on the wastefulness of begging for money to fix Barb's teeth while sitting in a massive pile of toys. Look at the Rob Bell situation. Barb and Chris were arrested shortly after Bob died, and threw all of the money Bob left them at a losing court battle to salvage Barb's pride. I imagine the outcome was very similar to what it would have been if they had just let the chips fall, except that the Chandlers were also out a lot of money.

The Chandlers aren't poor because they don't get enough money. They're poor because they don't use what they have very well. When Chris gets money, he spends it, because in his mind, that's what money is for. But that also means he never has as much as he wants.

I can't wait for the Foreclosure Saga. Imagine how crazy it will be for eviction to remove all Barb's shit.
