I dunno about everyone else but if you have ulterior motives whilst helping people, than what you're doing isn't really kindness. Their benefit is only a consequence of your true objective which in Jimmy's case is just milking more views and good optics. It's easier for the masses to turn the other cheek at the suffering of a few if it means that more people get help as a result of that. And when those few who suffered speak out about the abuse they suffered, their voices are drowned out by people who can only argue for the surface level stuff they see. The bottom line is that you shouldn't have to abuse one group of people to help another.

All those people Jimmy helped are just props. At the end of the day, Jimmy doesn't give a shit whether they are happy or not or whatever he does for them lasts or not. Jimmy is like the human embodiment of those videos you see of supposed "tribal" guys building pools and water parks out in the jungle. They destroy a large part of the environment just for a single video and the empty headed masses who consume their content don't even have a fucking scooby of the amount of destruction they engage in the background. Jimmy gets paid to put on an act of caring for others. People see this and think he's a good person when he is not. Then when bad stuff about him starts coming out, he's defended on the basis that he still helped people even though he only did it for self gain and abused others to do it. It doesn't matter that he's friends with and employed child rapists, abused and traumatized guests on his channel and lied and sent out DMCAs to try and save face and cover up his shady background actions, he still helped cure people of blindness and built wells in Africa and shit.

Imagine being happy that a dude who's friends with and harbors sexual predators helped you out of sheer optics and not because he actually cares about you. You can still celebrate that he helped people whilst condemning him for his abusive behavior. Jimmy isn't immune to criticism just because he did some nice things for some people.

He took the plea for 1-11. If anything you would use a plea deal to kick those charges back up into the teens. Which would be a major improvement in disposition. But he pled to 11 and under. What possible benefit did this plea deal have for him? And how much worse would it have been for him to take it to trial?
