i have to disagree. rekieta's odd is because he never had to face the consequence of his actions. but, when faced with "pound me in the ass" prison, rekieta will humble real quick.

Prison is still far from a certain outcome. About all Nick is really fighting over in court is the length and terms of his supervised probation. The whole system is tilted in this situation toward not putting them in prison. Given the situation and the evidence, the difference between the deal he is offered and the sentence the judge gives him may not be much. It could well be the same.

As far as prison goes, I think Nick would actually prefer prison than going through drug treatment and being directly confronted over his behavior. I think Nick is so psychologically weak that he would not be able to handle someone with power over him calling him out on all his bullshit.
