The sheer amount of time, money, and effort she puts into her whole LARP is insane considering she doesn't really seem to care about it. It's so hard actively faking an interest/identity, and so much easier to just admit your real interests and be who you actually are. I can't imagine being in Steph's shoes and expending so much of myself on shit that I can take or leave just so strangers might think I'm interesting. That's literal 13-year-old behavior, and she's been doing it for fucking years.

This is exactly why I can't believe she isn't more into fandom - she's dabbled in it once or twice with the Kylo Ren and MCU Loki stuff, but otherwise the only fandom, (if you could even call it that) she's serious about is serial killers of all things.

I could buy that she does truly enjoy Rammstein's music as well as Coldplay's, it's common to have tastes in music across different genres, but it's the "I'm a badass metalhead" LARP that gets me when she's only mentioned a few bands that could barely be considered metal. Cookie Monster vocals or GTFO, Stephanie.

Can also believe she is legitimately interested in her family history as that's typical with adoptees, wanting to know where they really come from and find any blood relatives they might be able to connect with, but she's autistically taken it to the next level (beyond even the typical American tendency of referring to themselves as "Swedish and Irish" when they mean ancestry rather than nationality) and decided connecting with her roots means pretending she's a Viking and a druid, posting in Google translated languages she can't be bothered to actually learn, and likely making some piss weak excuse as to why she wouldn't be able to visit the countries she says she's interested in, even if it was within her means. But ignoring the slackjawed dumbfoundedness enveloping most of my brain after that - why is she so sloth-like in her movements. Everything is so s-l-o-w.

I mean, I can't say I've ever seen anyone being so stupid as to put a flag in either place and wave it around. But if I had, I'd expect that they'd be dancing, shaking around or being loud and hyper. Steph just does a slow-motion, totally silent, baaaack-and - forrrrth a few times in low light, no edit. Oddly somber, practically elegaic, which seems the wrong vibe and at odds with the wink -

which was itself weird, though it was actually nice to see her being a little cute and even kind of smiling. Nice break from the droop-faced, vaguely irritated look she always has now. Putting aside what she'd just been doing, when she did that wink it almost seemed like a person in there, one who wouldn't necessarily make you want to kill yourself after hearing 8 seconds on drying your herbs or some potiony thing.

And man, the T and the years since those were made have not been kind. Putting aside objective measures, the relative decline in her appearance is shocking. Even beyond gaining a lot of weight, her skin has lost all life, eyes gone beady and vacant. The hair in those flag video looks nice, too, nicer color and length. Jawline pageboys with 3/4" bangs don't play well with fat necks, and the darker color was a nice contrast to her skin, whereas now it just kind of all blends together. :-/

This has unlocked a memory of one of the funniest moments on the Staph thread for me, when she posted a preview of a striptease video she made. I remember that I read the comments before I watched it, which were hilarious on their own, but were spot on and made it hysterical when I finally got round to watching the video.

Everyone is right to call out that music... It's so unsettling and haunting, but fitting. I thought @Charles P. Scene added it for a bit of artistic flair. It sounds like the type of music that is played in a movie about the Holocaust when the Jews are being taken from their homes and getting sent to concentration camps. And Stephanie thought it was appropriate 'sexy pose' music.

The music sounds like something out of Schindler’s List and the black and white really doesn’t help as far as making it feel like you’re going to see Allied troops liberating prisoners in the next scene.

I'll just say the music perfectly fits the content. Either some kind of funeral music or the intro to a boss fight theme in Witcher/Dark Souls.
