If I'm drunk (often) I'll put a few drops of hot sauce to kick it up. Tapatio is awesome. I love the vinegar taste of Tabasco.

There's this incredible hot sauce I picked up at a food festival in Manhattan though. His smoked cayenne sauce was incredible. The dude makes it small batch, but he'll waive the shipping cost over three bottles.

Seriously loved this guy's hot sauce. Check it out, don't say where you came from. They're all excellent but the smoked cayenne was my favorite.

Highly recommend trying the Thai version of sriracha if you haven't. That stuff is amazing. Get the big bottle of Shark Sauce. It's a better deal than the tiny Sriraja Panich bottles. Both are solid sauces, though.

Fuck you bro. I love collards, it's that niggers have ruined a good food with just a ton of piss and shit and cornstarch. To be fair, I love any kinds of greens. if I need flavor (besides salt) I will either add Balsamic or apple cider vinegar (What I prefer) and I'd chow the shit out of that. I love apple cider vinegar in general.
But don't you disrespect Collards again bro. It can't help that it's been battered and bruised by niggers natural tendency to abuse what they are given.

I don't know, I prefer the soul food way with actual seasonin n sheeit (so long as not too much salt), but even the wypipo way of just frying them in bacon grease (and even crumbling some of the bacon in and maybe adding some vinegar, salt and pepper, onions, etc. is fine.

We have a Bay tree growing in the garden that we take leaves from for stews, rosemary growing as bushes, fennel, and occasionally we'll candify rose petals. We pick lavender flowers and dry it and put it in bowls around the house once a year as a nice smell, grow gourds for decoration, have chives, and probably more herbs I can't remember off the top of my head. (There are also fruit trees of several types around where I live that get used as well.)
While only the lavender gets dried, we use a lot of fresh-picked seeznin'.

this post reminded me of the phenomena of people (granted, not all black) finding bay and other edible leaves in their food and going "oh mah gawrd is that a LEAF?"

I know that the whole "urban bugpeople think food materializes in the grocery store" is mostly a meme, but it's still astounding how little some people know about what food is or where it comes from.
